Orchard Supply Hardware is BACK !

This last month, I was able to attend two previews for two new OSH stores !

OSH was one of those hardware stores that I remember going to with my papou aka "grandpa" in Greek. I remember it having a small home town store feeling with a service level that was like family was greeting you at the counter.

Heading to the first preview in Cerritos, I was wondering if the atmosphere would be the same as it was when I was a kid.

New Orchard Supply Hardware in Cerritos and Irvine - Grand Opening March 21st !

When I walked in I was so excited to see that welcoming sign still looking like it did years ago.
I was so happy to see that there was so much effort into the relaunch of this hardware store !
The decor is warm and the store itself is open and bright !

The tour took us though all the departments laid out in a very easy to find way with in the store. I really felt like this was a relaunch to welcome not just your normal hardware needs but crafting and daily life needs too ! I LOVE it !

One thing I noticed right away was the chalk board, each location has, that is geared for community events that have OSH and locals teaming up !

OSH is getting involved in the community and the community involved !

Sweet Stop with old fashioned and snacks of today !

So many choices for outdoor entertaining, I'll take them all !

 

There are so many fresh flowers, herbs, starter plants and more ! I could just sit and enjoy the beauty all day .

Look I found a PENNY LANE mix !

It was a sign. I cant wait to get started in our garden expansion. Did you know that OSH will help you plant your plants and also replace them if they die... its like a plant warranty !!!! Score .

 

OSH offers many starter seeds. Organic too. They also have a post that will tell you what is in season to plant ! Smart !!

 It's not just a hardware store. I was so surprised to see so many useful daily needs inside OSH.
From lighting to crafting it really is a woman's world in there too ! I felt right at home and ready to start a project !

We were able to take home a craft to do after the Cerritos tour. I was so excited to try this with my kids. We received mason jars, stickers, spray paint and ribbon. We decided to work on our crafting for teacher appreciation week !

 I had so much fun at the event and after doing the crafting with my kids - huge thanks to OSH for the invite, fun and winning me over with their mom friendly layout !


Irvine is another location that has a brand new OSH !!!! This location is MY OSH !
We are a hop, skip and jump away so I am looking forward to all the times I will get to visit.

Every OSH has a management that wants to help you create what you see in your mind. I loved that the new manager, Teddy, is so creative !

Manager Teddy created this whole fixture set up from ideas off of
pinterest ! He really goes the extra mile for the store & customers !

 At the Irvine location we were lucky enough to sample a craft for St.Patrick's day ! This one is a fun one that we are doing today after school ! Can NOT wait to craft this up !

A few of, what I thought were, the best things in OSH ...
The amazing Workbench Services ! The services are all over the place to help you with anything and everything !

Teddy - the Manager - his passion and drive to make the Irvine location was inspiring me to copy his crafting ! Great job on your master piece, I can't wait to see what you toss up next !

 This Ice Chest that is portable and great for entertaining ! YES PLEASE ! Saw it at both locations and wanted it even more after seeing it a second time !

 Something I thought was totally cool, the apparel lines that OSH carries are rugged, durable and fashionable - they have denim for rows !

Both locations had beautiful nurseries and inside them some amazing bird houses ! I could not get enough of the cuteness !

 

Just Beautiful and ready for SPRING !

Before I left something else just caught my eye... the old fashioned Coke crates ! I love it .. love the decor so much !  

Thank you Orchard Supply for allowing me to get a sneak peek of both your Cerritos and Irvine locations ! I had a great time touring the stores and the company of your managers at both locations was refreshing ! Thank you so much !

To kick off the celebration of new OSH stores, there will be a GRAND OPENING EVENT, at each location !

Here are the details for the GRAND OPENING EVENTS to be held on Saturday, March 21st at my local IRVINE OSH !

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

· First 100 adults in line at the store on March 21 will receive a $25 gift card

· First 500 customers at the store on March 21 will receive a canvas shopping tote

· Musical performances by Woodbridge High School and Orange County School of the Arts

STORE HIGHLIGHTS:

· The new approximately 36,000-square-foot Orchard Supply Hardware Store will open in Irvine.

· Retail Design Institute recently named the updated store design as the First Place award winner in their International Large Store Format Design category for 2014.

· The store features OSH’s signature “Workbench,” an expanded customer support area for basic maintenance needs, such as knife sharpening, lock re-keying and rescreening.

· Navigational and directional signage is color coded by “world” to guide the shoppers and make navigating the store intuitive and simple. Helpful directories are also located near the front entrance.

· Irvine’s OSH will employ approximately 75 associates/team members from the local community.
