Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro Now Open in Seal Beach at The Shops at Rossmoor - A Must Try!

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro now open at the Shops At Rossmoor

Calling all Chinese food lovers...

We had never been to Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro but we are so glad we tried it out. Loved every bite.. plus there was plenty to take home too.

All opinions are our own. Thank you for having us out to experience the dining.

The Shops at Rossmoor are easy to get to off the freeway and have a variety of eats as well as shopping experiences.

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro is bright and open indoor dining with a full house, the wait was short and the service was amazing and fast.

We weren't sure what to narrow our tastes down to because it all looked that good!

We decided on a few dishes to share and get our tastebuds going.

Full of flavor and seasonings with just the right amount of spice. We usually order a dish or two that has some kick to it. We like it spicy.

We really had a delightful dinner and everything we tasted was really good.

Do you have a favorite when dining at Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro?! I'd love to know so that we can tey your preferred dish next visit.

Here is what we had the pleasure of tasting on our first visit...

Chicken lettuce wraps with green and red bell pepper and water chestnuts. I'm getting hungry again just posting the photo of it. Plenty to share with your whole table.

Crispy Orange chicken with chili peppers green onions and Orange peel house sauce. Perfect amount of kick to the spicy flavor. Really one of the best Orange Chicken dishes I've had... ever.

Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament Never Disappoints!

A tradition for our family for over 30 years to celebrate at our local Medieval Times Castle with drinks, cheers, food and entertaining fun.

This winter break we wanted to take a moment and enjoy one another company and time off with a visit to Medieval Times.

Both of my kids love to see the jousting, horses, cheer their Knight and of course feast on the Queens food.

This visit we are celebrating winter fun, tradition, family, early birthday & the holidays thanks to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Buena Park ! All opinions are my own.

I celebrated many birthdays at the Castle in Buena Park and I love that the kids enjoy it as much now as I did then.

Arrive at least 60 to 90 minutes early to secure the best seat available. There are VIP packages you can upgrade to as well.

Celebrating something? You can be knighted by the Queen or you can even purchase a scroll with announcement during the show.

With so many options to add on extra fun you fan really make the most of your visit in your own style.

We kind of look for any opportunity or celebration to have an excuse to visit Medieval Times,  we just love it.

Save your appetite for chicken, corn and potato that follows your dragon soup.

On The Go Tamales In Hand from Miguel's Jr #MyMiguelsJr Makes it Easy to Dine Tamale Happy

So It's  No Secret Wr Are Huge Tamale Fans... Thanks to Miguel's Jr. We Soccer Night in Tamale Style!

Have you heard the news?!

Mary's tamale bundle is here...

Thanks to Miguel's Jr. for hooking us up with a tasty treat of a family meal. All opinions are my own.

What?! I know! Mary's Tamale bundle, a complete meal for 4 featuring 6 tamales, 4 drinks, and chips and salsa is perfect for on the go peeps like us.

Tis the season for tamales and we loved them.

Since we make, buy and eat tamales we love to try others for flavor and quality.

We thought that Miguel's Jr. Tamale pack was filling, tasty and bot dry, a bonus on that flavor too. I am picky when it comes to how the masa sticks or well does NOT stick to the corn husk and how dry tamales can be. These were perfectly tasty and to my style.

If you are in a rush this holiday season or need to bring a dish to share.. grab some tamales. They are so easy to cut up and share with a group & everyone loves them!

We have had soccer 3 to 4 nights a week lately so this is the perfect meal to take a break with and have ready to eat. Everyone loved it.

Happy eating my foodie friends....

Century Stadium 25 & XD Theater by Cinemark in Orange Upgrades Your Movie Going Experience

Best Movie Going Experience In Forever!

We loved our movie theater experience at Cinemark Century Stadium 25 & XD Theater in Orange.

It's been a while since we went to the movies and last time we were at the drive in. Sometimes it's just a bit more comfy with our own seats and car to lounge in.

Thanks to Cinemark we had the best movie night. My daughter and I went on a date and had so much fun... all opinions are our own.

The upgrades to comfort and overall experience are really amazing. The reclining seats are so spacious and comfortable it was like being at home... but... there was also a food tray so we could eat while we watched.

Eat we did! We ordered popcorn and movie theater coke, as we call it, but we didnt stop there.

We devoured the deluxe nachos and some candy too. They also have multiple full snack bars with hotdogs, ICEE machines and even serve alcohol.... Why not!

The space between rows is plentiful since the reclining chairs do just that. Not only can you sink into the seats and stretch out but they are heated too. I know right!

Don't get too comfy or you may end up being tapped by a friend to wake up or in our neighbors case by his wife to stop snoring. Hehe. Talk about relaxing in the moment.

We loved it so much and as a mom of two that wants to come back with my family I love that you can sign up for their free movie club and recieve $5 admission on Tuesdays! Yes please.

Our experience was awesome and we can not wait to return for more movie memories.

Up next... Frozen.. we have to go back for it!

First Time Visit to Knott's Scary Farm with My Tween! Did She Cry? Maybe.... #scaryfarm #knottsscaryfarm

Knott's Scary Farm is Back for Select Nights Through November 2nd!

Thanks to Knott's Berry Farm, last week I decided to give in to my tween and take her with some of her besties to Knott's Scary Farm....

Let me back up and give you some history.

When I was 12.5, in 7th grade I was taken to Knott's Scary Farm after a few years of begging. Keep in mind this was 1992 and things were a bit more timid back then.

My daughter found out a few years ago, watched me cover the amazing event and has been asking to attend since.

I told her when she hits the age I was allowed to go and she feels ready after watching my videos... I'll take her.

That was last week.

So I have to admit that I was so excited to see these girls scream and get a dose of reality check but they held their own.

Their top 3 favorites...

1. The Carnevil Clowns. They must have walked that scare zone about 8 times and loved every moment of it. I really feel like it was a fun side to scary.

My Top 5 Reasons Dark Harbor at The Queen Mary Should Be On Your Haunts List #darkhabor

Queen Mary Brings Screams, Frights, Food, Side Shows and So Much More with Dark Harbor

Have you been to Dark Harbor? Their goal is to scare the SHIP out of you... they do an amazingly frightful job of it too.

One of my most favorite events each Halloween Haunt season is Dark Harbor. There is something about being on the ship that is creepy in itself and so intriguing.

I wanted to give you a run down on my favs, must see, tips and more...

1. There is fog everywhere. From the moment you walk in and all throughout the mazes. Lots of it.

2. Hundreds of monsters and ghouls waiting for you each night after an opening ceremony behind gates. They are everywhere, hinding, lurking and creeping in the shadows.

3. The mazes are awesome. Each one is so different and scary in it's own way. From on board the ship to a transformation in a dome tent, the setting is definitely set for horrors of all kinds to find you.

4. Sliders!! Not the food but the crazy creeps the come sliding towards you on their hands knees and bodies with sparks flying. Yes. Those Sliders are amazing. They have their own show, not to miss, but also linger around just to freak you out too.

Knott's Scary Farm Deets Plus New Mazes & More ... for Those Brave Enough to Go! #ScaryFarm

Are You Ready to Scream at Knott's Scary Farm!

We have all the deets on new mazes, rides, shows, BooFets fests and more.

This year my daughter is in 7th grade, do you know what that means, I do.

She reminded me that I told her years ago and for many years to follow that she could go to Knott's Scary Farm when she gets into 7th grade like I did back in the day of 1992.

So here we are many, many years later since my first visit to Scary Farm and I know the intensity has grown with the scary being amplified since 1992 but I'm planning to surprise her with tickets!

Have you taken your tween? How did it go? Did they scream for more or just scream?

My girl is brave, loves to be scared, watches scary movies and loves all of that. I cringe and scream and she looks to see what's next. She is going to love it.

I can not wait to come back and share how it went and what we did... I mean aside from my laugh crying cause that's what I do when I get freaked out and Scary Farm does a great job of that!

Since there is so much to do, see, run from and scream at we wanted to break it all down for you.

Plan ahead and make the most of theirs Fall fun!

Everything Knott's Scary Farm.. ready.. go..

Knott’s Scary Farm is the most haunting Halloween experience in Southern California, delivering unimaginable scares and innovative thrills since 1973 and continues to make the most twisted delusions come to life.

This season new horrors are in store with the frightening new maze Wax Works, where a mysterious figure has been seen tinkering at night and is ready to show off his beautiful yet terrifyingly life-like masterpieces of hot molten wax and bloody flesh.

Or pierce the veil of time to discover the secret of the evil fog that hangs over Knott’s Scary Farm’s Ghost Town’s streets in the new maze Origins: The Curse of Calico.

A hilariously outrageous new show will be brought to life as world-class comedian puppeteers from The Jim Henson Company encourage guests to participate in the improvised comedy antics in Puppet Up! – Uncensored, which is intended for mature audiences.

With 14 haunted attractions and more than 1,000 horrifying creatures roaming the park, nightmares never end at Knott’s Scary Farm. Select nights from September 19 through November 2.

Riptide Rockin Sushi & Teppan Birthday Surprise For The Win! #riptiderockinsushi

Surprise Dinner at Riptide Rockin Sushi

We LOVE Riptide Rockin Sushi but it's been a while and it was a first for our birthday girl!

Birthday dinner with a twist thanks to Riptide Rockin Sushi at the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo for hosting my tween!

It had been a long weekend of soccer down South in San Diego for three days. It was hot and we basically survived on water, snacks, salads, sandwiches and more snacks.

Since we had a late game last Monday, yes Monday, we decided it would be fun to surprise Z with another experience.

If you have been following along, remember, Z asked for mini experiences for her birthday this year instead of a big pool party like she has had since she was a baby.

Since she is a foodie, yes we've created a monster with this, we though it would be fun to visit somewhere Z has never been.

Riptide Rockin Sushi was just birthday perfect.

My birthday girl loves entertainment and of course shrimp, sushi, seafood, steak, okay a true foodie is what we've really got on our hands.

Can you believe it's time to get ready for back to school? I know right!

We love spending summer at the beach, toes in the sand, laying out and splashing at the pool and of course we pack snacks to go along with us.
