"Secrets of Sulphur Springs” is a time-travel mystery series for kids & families.

Set in the fictional Louisiana town of Sulphur Springs, the series follows 12-year-old Griffin Campbell (Preston Oliver, "Chicago Fire") whose world has been upended by his father, Ben (Josh Braaten, "American Horror Story"). Ben has moved the family from Chicago to take ownership of an abandoned hotel property, The Tremont. The Campbell family, which also includes Griffin's mother, Sarah (Kelly Frye, "Criminal Minds"), and his younger twin siblings, Wyatt (Landon Gordon, "Coop & Cami Ask the World") and Zoey (Madeleine McGraw, "Outcast"), moves into The Tremont in hopes of restoring it to the lively vacation destination it once was. On his first day at his new school, Griffin hears rumors that the hotel is haunted by the ghost of Savannah (Elle Graham, "Swamp Thing"), a girl who disappeared decades ago. He soon meets and befriends Harper (Kyliegh Curran, "Doctor Sleep"), a thrill-seeking classmate, and soon they discover a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time and uncover clues about the town mystery.

Episode 5, "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Time" airs Friday on the Disney Channel 8pm. We will be re watching it!

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro Now Open in Seal Beach at The Shops at Rossmoor - A Must Try!

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro now open at the Shops At Rossmoor

Calling all Chinese food lovers...

We had never been to Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro but we are so glad we tried it out. Loved every bite.. plus there was plenty to take home too.

All opinions are our own. Thank you for having us out to experience the dining.

The Shops at Rossmoor are easy to get to off the freeway and have a variety of eats as well as shopping experiences.

Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro is bright and open indoor dining with a full house, the wait was short and the service was amazing and fast.

We weren't sure what to narrow our tastes down to because it all looked that good!

We decided on a few dishes to share and get our tastebuds going.

Full of flavor and seasonings with just the right amount of spice. We usually order a dish or two that has some kick to it. We like it spicy.

We really had a delightful dinner and everything we tasted was really good.

Do you have a favorite when dining at Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro?! I'd love to know so that we can tey your preferred dish next visit.

Here is what we had the pleasure of tasting on our first visit...

Chicken lettuce wraps with green and red bell pepper and water chestnuts. I'm getting hungry again just posting the photo of it. Plenty to share with your whole table.

Crispy Orange chicken with chili peppers green onions and Orange peel house sauce. Perfect amount of kick to the spicy flavor. Really one of the best Orange Chicken dishes I've had... ever.

Knott's Berry Farm really does a Berry good job with their seasonal events. All opinions are our own.

The unique food offerings, special shows, hands on fun, sweet, treats, drinks like sarsaparilla floats, character sightings and so much more.

Let's get into some of our favorites & must do's at Peanuts Celebration.

* Sketch School - visit Bird Cage Theater and learn how to draw your favorite Peanuts character. I surprised myself with my Snoopy sketch.

* Character Meet & Greets - Big news here! Did you know that Spike, Snoopy's brother, is now in the park during Peanuts Celebration.  You can find Spike in Calico Park during the Cowboy Jamboree with Linus & Franklin and over in Fiesta Village during the Discoteca de Silencio aka silent disco.

* Pig Pen's Pig Pen - Who doesn't love barn animals... little piggies you guys! Of course there's the sweetest dustball around too... Pig Pen! You can find him, a bunch of animal friends & a cute photo opp all at Livery Stable.

* Happiness Is ... a new show! No, really that's the name of it, Happiness Is! I love that the theme is basically be YOU and those who love you will love you for YOU.

A fun show with songs, dancing and trampolines... True Friendship. On at Calico Mine stage during the day.

* The Food! I am not sure where to begin since we love all the eats & treats at Knott's.

Each seasonal event Knott's adds in some seriously flavors in all categories from burgers to desserts and then some.

Check out our recap of all things dining Peanuts Celebration here.

Find all your favorites at these locations.

Not limiting ourselves or you to just our must do favorites... here are more things to do while visiting Knott's Peanuts Celebration.

Autism, Picky Eating, Diabetes Scare, Visitng CHOC E.R. & Following my Mama Instinct all in a Weekend...

We had to take our son to CHOC last Saturday.

Let me back up to the week leading up.

Last Thursday through Sunday we were in Idyllwild for family time and Silverlakes Norco for soccer.

Everything all weekend went well, we had a lot of fun exploring the winter snow a bit, winning a championship at the soccer field and getting ready for the week.

I noticed Mikey was saying he was a bit more tired than usual, he seemed to want to rest a bit more than hike or play and that's not like him at all when were outdoors.

I made note cause I know my boy very well. Since he does have his quirks and sensory things here and there he's pretty easy to read and his communication is getting a lot better with verbalizing what's going on.

After we returned I noticed on Monday and Tuesday he was still saying he was itchy here and there but with no signs of why he would be visible to the eye on the skin. He also by Tuesday started to drink a lot of water and by a lot I mean like double what he was normally drinking.

Wednesday morning rolled around and he had an accident during the night. Wednesday he seemed to urinate more and drink a lot. Still saying he was itchy.

Wednesday after school he said his ear was bothering him. I called the doctor, meanwhile no raised pulse or fever. They could not see him until Friday late, so I pulled him from school early and went to urgent care. The Dr. said that his left ear was infected and could have been causing him to be off and feeling this way. She prescribed antibiotics and sent us on our way.

Mikey started to tell me his hands and feet were tingly and sleepy. That raised flags for me. He also said his eyes were watery and when I asked him if his vision was blurry or fuzzy he said yes. Sometimes it's hard to tell what he may be wanting to express with the communicating. I have to draw out info and ask for details often with my little love.

Of course its Friday night and our pediatrician is now closed and when I google, I know but the symptoms were worrying me, it came up... signs of diabetes.

Because we do have diabetes in our family history and because my son is such a picky eater that I can tell you all 15 to 20 things he eats, yes we've done feeding therapy in the past and are re visiting that, I was worried.

I called CHOC and decided I would take him into the ER in the morning. That way it would be fasting and they would be able to run some tests as needed fasting and then perhaps after a snack. Again all was fine and no other complaints or elevated symptoms and at this time none of the above was going on at the moment or all night.

A tradition for our family for over 30 years to celebrate at our local Medieval Times Castle with drinks, cheers, food and entertaining fun.

This winter break we wanted to take a moment and enjoy one another company and time off with a visit to Medieval Times.

Both of my kids love to see the jousting, horses, cheer their Knight and of course feast on the Queens food.

This visit we are celebrating winter fun, tradition, family, early birthday & the holidays thanks to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Buena Park ! All opinions are my own.

So It's  No Secret Wr Are Huge Tamale Fans... Thanks to Miguel's Jr. We Soccer Night in Tamale Style!

Have you heard the news?!

Mary's tamale bundle is here...

Thanks to Miguel's Jr. for hooking us up with a tasty treat of a family meal. All opinions are my own.

What?! I know! Mary's Tamale bundle, a complete meal for 4 featuring 6 tamales, 4 drinks, and chips and salsa is perfect for on the go peeps like us.

Tis the season for tamales and we loved them.

Since we make, buy and eat tamales we love to try others for flavor and quality.

We thought that Miguel's Jr. Tamale pack was filling, tasty and bot dry, a bonus on that flavor too. I am picky when it comes to how the masa sticks or well does NOT stick to the corn husk and how dry tamales can be. These were perfectly tasty and to my style.

If you are in a rush this holiday season or need to bring a dish to share.. grab some tamales. They are so easy to cut up and share with a group & everyone loves them!

We have had soccer 3 to 4 nights a week lately so this is the perfect meal to take a break with and have ready to eat. Everyone loved it.

Happy eating my foodie friends....
