Come celebrate Irvine Park Railroad’s 24th anniversary on Saturday, February 29th and Sunday, March 1st. 

 

We have created and shared so many memories for over three generations at Irvine Park Railroad, we are so grateful to be part of their seasonal activities, sharing all the updates and giveaways with you all too.

 

So many reasons why we love Irvine Park Railroad but the most important to me is memories with my family and friends time after time. Enjoying laughs, traditions, photos, games, train rides and more with each visit.

 

Here are the deets...

They are rolling back prices to their original 1996 prices… including $2.00 train rides! 

It’s their way of saying thank you to all of YOU loyal customers who have visited Irvine Park Railroad over the years.

Irvine Park Railroad, which has become a favorite destination for families from across Southern California, takes passengers on a 12-minute ride through scenic Irvine Regional Park. The engineer narrates the ride pointing out all of the history inside of the park which is over 100 years old. 

The Anniversary Celebration will also feature other activities including carnival games, a bounce house, panning for gold, face painting, and more. Some activities require two (2) tickets. There are $2 concessions, too, including hot dogs, sodas, ice creams, and popcorn.  

The $2 tickets are valid during the Anniversary Celebration weekend only.

Visit with Santa Claus: November 13th - December 24th: Children and their families are invited to drop off letters to Santa, share their Christmas wish lists with Santa Claus and have a professional photo taken from November 13th through December 24th. Santa will be located in his new “A Christmas Story” home on Level 1 in Macy’s Court. Santa’s Arrival: November 15th: The entire community is invited to join MainPlace Mall in welcoming Santa Claus to his new “A Christmas Story” home on Friday, November 15th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Following Santa’s arrival, children and their families will be able to meet some of Santa’s favorite elves, enjoy face painting and balloon twisting, and sip hot cocoa while listening to a DJ play festive holiday music. There will also be exciting giveaways available to the first 300 children to attend. This special fun-filled event, which takes place on Level 1 in Center Court is free and open to the public. Have you been to Tapas Flavors Of Spain at the Kaleidoscope? I had not but I loved it once I did.



 

Thank you to Tapas Flavors of Spain for inviting us out for a date night fun review.

 

It's hard to find local date night outings that are different in experience not just dining.

 

The hubs and I had the most entertaining time we've had on a date night in a long time when we dined at Tapas Flavors of Spain!

 

I want to dive right in to the atmosphere. With the feeling of Spain all around you from the décor at entry to the art on the walls you are immediately greeted with culture.



I absolutely loved the dresses on the walls that captured the moment of Flamenco to come later on.

Oh a high four is what us major Disney fans say since it's kinda Mickey's thing! Really it's a thing!

 

Here are some of the highlights of our visit and a huge thank you to Splittsville for having our family out. We really did enjoy our fmaily time!

 

With so much space it is easy to feel like you have the place to yourself. There are 20 lanes indoor but broken down to semi private areas for private feel. Pretty cool layout to achieve that!

 

 



 

Each lane fits 8 and you don't have to bowl to eat there! Awesome. So take a break from the parks for a bite or refreshing drink at the bar and head back on in.

 



 

Hot tip.. if you purchase the bowling pin souvineer drink, you can refill it and return to refill it again and again!

Armstrong Garden Centers invites California gardeners of all skill levels to its upcoming community classes.

 

Each workshop will encourage attendees to nurture their green thumbs with a wide range of topics for the winter season. The classes will be held at all 31 stores throughout California.

Following up to the Grand Opening of Phase 1 of the Sports PARK at the Great Park... the Orange County Soccer Club's Stadium will make its debut on August 18th!

 

The game is selling out fast. We have been to a few games now and the energy is fantastic.

 

I personally can not wait to walk around the beautiful structure myself.

Orange County Soccer Club Military Appreciation Game This Saturday

Have you been to a professional local soccer game?!

 

We attended our first Orange County Soccer Club game last weekend and had the best family time at the Great Park in Irvine!  

 

 

 

There's plenty for everyone to do pre game. A free jump house for littles and kick soccer aim game for all and plenty of stadium style eats and drinks.

 

I love that their home games are played locally at the Great Park. The beautiful  scenery is perfect for a family play day before the game or an evening walk after the games.

Huntington Beach, CA, April 14, 2016 -- From The Next Iron Chef to Cutthroat Kitchen, Simon Majumdar is a familiar face on the Food Network, where he is a popular judge and food critic.

The author and TV personality takes his taste buds to Huntington Beach, when he comes to judge at the 2016 Taste of Huntington Beach. 

The annual Taste of Huntington Beach, a community gathering featuring food, drink, live music and fun will be held on April 24, 2016, from 12 - 4 pm at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex; 18100 Goldenwest Street (across the parking lot from the HB Central Library). 

The Taste of Huntington Beach is presented by The Friends of the Children's Library (FOTCL) and proceeds benefit the Children's Department of the Huntington Beach Public Library. “Huntington Beach has so much to offer in terms of restaurants.

Most people don't realize how BIG the HB restaurant scene is until they see all the participants in one place. 

This event "creates a fun and exciting buzz with amazing food!" shares Slapfish chef/owner and local Huntington Beach resident Andrew Gruel, who not only returns to the Taste tent but will also be serving up something special at the VIP tent. At the time of this release, there are 80 restaurants, wineries and breweries participating at the Taste. 

Live musical entertainment will be provided by local favorites Chris Farmer Duo (Chris was the former musical director of the legendary Beach Boys) and 80s cover band After Party.
