Celebrate #SeasonsOfFun at Knott's Berry Farm All Year Long! Plus Season Pass #Giveaway

We love Knott's Berry Farm All Year Long!

It has been one of my most favorite traditions for over 35 years, to visit Knott's Berry Farm with my family. Knott's Berry Farm is now bigger and better than ever expanding Soak City (more to come on this splash of a great time), adding new rides, coaster upgrades and seasonal festivities!

With a family of my own now we try to take our children for memories and new traditions to Knott's Berry Farm each season.

With a Knott's season pass we noticed we did visit a lot more often and could spend a few hours to all day at our leisure. We are looking into passes again!

This past year it was really exciting to experience a lot of things with both of my kids for many different reasons.

My daughter is at the age and has been at the height for a while where she can ride all the thrill rides with us. It is pretty amazing to see the excitement on her face as she rides all the roller coasters that my husband and I used to ride when we were kids.

For my son it's a bit different as we consider all of our achievements at theme parks especially Knott's Berry Farm with the levels of rides, timing of shows, variety of foods, and interaction with characters, all wins when it comes to autism.

One of the best things about Knott's Berry Farm is that there are so many Seasonal Traditions for us to keep up yearly.

Our Knott's #MerryFarm Favorites Not to be Missed

Merry Farm has Come to Town...

Visit Knott's Merry Farm for Holiday Festive Fun Now Through January 8th!

Last weekend we had a Peanut's of a grand time. It was more than a day at Knott's, It was a mom and daughter day, a much needed one.

Sometimes we get wrapped up in school, soccer, rules, schedules and all that goes into being responsible that I forget what my most favorite responsibility is... making memories with my kiddos!

I love doing that. I also forget that sometimes it is good to spend one on one time with each of my kids as well as my husband. It was sad that my hubs and son were not feeling well but the decision was made for me, it was a girls day, so let's enjoy it.

To say we had fun would be an understatement - it was cool, overcast and kind of raining. Perfect Knott's weather.

You can see our re-cap videos here and here!

Going Pink for Breast Cancer awareness is not only just "Joe Cool" but it really hits home to a lot of us so it is just simply special!

We have had cancer in our family and we have had dear friends and family fight, win and lose against Breast Cancer. It is a tough fight for anyone and everyone that has to watch someone go through it.

We are blessed with a community that cares. Since Knott's always does their part to give back they are once again running their Knott's Pink promotion. You can get all the details HERE but here are some of the highlights:

Interview With the Peanuts Movie Cast & What to Look out for on November 6th

Growing Up with the Peanuts Gang!

There is a new Peanuts Movie coming out on November 6th and we are so excited to see it as a family. For generations the Peanuts gang has brought my family together via comics to TV. My parents loved to sit and watch the Holiday Specials as a family during Halloween and Christmas, traditions I now have with my own family.

When we heard there was going to be a new Peanuts Movie we got extremely excited and a rush of nostalgia ran over me! There has not been a Peanuts movie since 1980 and it is so about time to bring them all back for some fun.

+The Peanuts Movie is the newest chapter to hit the big screen for the Schulz family in years but did you know that it took Craig Schulz (son of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz) 8 years to write the movie and Steve Martino (Director) 4 years to bring it to life. That is a lot of hard work.

A few weeks ago we found out we would be given the opportunity to interview the cast of the new Peanuts Movie! After having supreme excitement already we were just off the wall ecstatic and the questions we wanted to ask became a long list. (check out my blog post on that here)

Ready for Media Meet and Greet with the Cast of the Peanuts Movie
On Halloween we got up, got ready and rushed out to +Knott's Berry Farm where the Meet and Greet for the Peanuts Movie cast was set up inside of Camp Snoopy.
Media Check in - Notes in Hand!
The floor was set up like the walk of fame with the characters "Stars" out leading up to the Red Carpet walkway.
So cool! There was a blimp in the sky that was flying above with the Peanuts Movie image on it and everyone was eager to get back to meet the cast, director and creator.

Walking the Red Carpet to her Interviews
The setting was just perfect and as I looked at Zoe, I asked her, "Are you ready baby, you get to ask the questions" and she looked at me with the biggest eyes of excitement and said "Yes, this is my first real interview of famous actors, I'm ready".
Next up to Interview the Cast
The cast is just adorable and each actor fits their role so well. The casting that was done to select each voice was fierce and detailed so that there was a presence of old Peanuts and new to create the perfect balance for each of the Peanuts Gang friends.

We first talked with Francesca Capaldi (known for her role as Chloe in "Dog With a Blog") who voices Little Red-Haired Girl and Noah Schnapp who voices Good ol' Charlie Brown. These two are so excited about everyone seeing the movie. Zoe told them she was so excited for the movie.
Little Red Haired Girl, Charlie Brown and my Kid Reporter
She asked: "What was each of your favorite parts of the movie and are there any surprises or hints to what we should look out for in the movie about the Red Haired Girl and Charlie Brown?"

Both kids got so giddy with laughter and started telling Zoe that they could not say too much but they "share the same favorite part and something happens in the end that has never happened before."

That was enough to tell Zoe and I that we were in for some awesome surprises that I think everyone has been wondering and waiting for!

Next up we were able to talk with Hadley Miller, the voice of Lucy, known for being crabby, bossy and always humiliating Charlie Brown. Lucy is a very strong character so Zoe asked Hadley "how it felt to voice Lucy, the girl we know to wear the blue dress and take charge. Hadley said, "Lucy is such a bold girl and she is strong and likes to take charge. It was fun to bring her big voice to life."
Hadley gives Lucy her strong, bold voice.
Zoe also asked Hadley if she loved to be part of the pranks to Charlie Brown and Hadley said that one of her favorites is "when Lucy pulls the football away from Charlie Brown" classic...ours is too!

I don't think Zoe fully understood how special and just plain cool it was for her to have the opportunity to interview the cast until she stepped up to the creator himself!
Mr. Craig Schulz , Zoe and I
I saw her face just light up when I introduced her to Craig Schulz. I had told her he is the son of the main man himself that brought the Peanuts to life so many years ago.

We started to chat and we had so many questions to ask this creative mind. We told him how excited we are for the movie to come out and how much it means to our family for generations to evolve with his beloved Peanuts Gang.

Zoe asked Mr. Schulz, "How long did it take to create the movie and how many hours did it take to get it ready for the big screen?"

He looks down at Zoe and said, "It took me many years to write this one, how old are you?"

Zoe answered "I am 8."

Mr. Schulz smiles at her and chuckled a bit then leaned down and told her "Well it took me 8 years to get this movie written just right and 4 years for the director to do his part. So we just ran a marathon with it and know you will love it when you see it."

He then told Zoe, "It took over 5 million hours to complete the movie from writing, editing, creating, casting and more. So many people were involved to make is just right"

That really puts it all into perspective for someone watching the film to know how long and just how much effort was put into it!

A few fun facts about the new Peanuts Movie:
* Movie will be in 3D animation
* Charlie Brown is on a quest
* Snoopy takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron
* Every underdog has his day
* It's okay to express emotions, anxieties, hopes and fears with out a filter. (I love this)
* Everyone has a little Charlie Brown in them
* Charlie is smitten with love for the new girl in his class, Little Red Haired Girl
* Snoopy too, is pursuing a romance!

What a rush!! This was my daughters first time interviewing and she did great. The cast was so sweet, the Director was so thrilled to share his excitement and Mr. Schulz was as nice as he is creative. We could not have asked for a better interview experience.

Thank you to the whole cast, Director Steve, Mr. Schulz, Knott's Berry Farm and Camp Snoopy for the most awesome experience. We loved meeting each of them and are grateful for the opportunity to ask things about the new Peanuts Movie!
This by far was the best Halloween ever!

On of my most favorite quotes is by Charles M. Schulz himself...
"

See you all November 6th to catch the Beagle and his block head bestie on the big screen!

We Officially Kicked Off Fall with Knott's Spooky Farm!

Knott's Spooky Farm was awesome!

We had such a blast at Spooky Farm this weekend. I totally understand why my parents would tell me that even a few hours with us together somewhere was with it to them.
We had soccer in the morning early, so we rushed over to Knott's right after. With costumes on my babies were ready for their first Spooky Farm ever!
Snoopy Selfie - a MUST DO!
So much to do and see. We entered the park with a treat bag in hand and decided to check out what was on our Spooky Farm Fun Map!

With a Creepy Crawler Cabin and Spooky Hollow Maze my kids were in the Halloween Spirit along with the Knott's staffs creepiest and ghouls! They were so festive but sweet to all of the kids, so that spooky met fun in the most perfect way.

Trick or treat stops for candy, who doesn't love that?! A monster masquerade ball where you could event make a mask!! We love our crafty side.
The whole Peanuts Gang was out to greet us!
So much fun, let's not forget about the rides! My babies loved it so much we even had a few first times! My 3.5yo rode Sidewinder and called it the fast spin train, he loved it so much we rode it 4 times. The Log Ride is tradition, since I was a kid, so to see his face as he went down first was priceless to me.

The costume contest and dance party in Camp Spooky were super cute and fun for all. We had so much love for the sweet little kids so proud to show off their costumes!
It's always more fun with friends! #BloggerKids
The Kids Top Favs:
* You can Trick Or Treat and Eat the Candy - Yeah well what can ya do!
* You can ride rides too not just do Halloween stuff
* You can go through a Maze like the big kids are doing for Scary Farm but much more tame.
* You can see some of the Scary Farm decorations and get excited for when you are over 13 - yes that was said by my 8yo!
* Seeing all the Peanuts Gang in their Fall Festive outfits is so cute.
* My family is together and my brother tried new things - My 8yo

Thanks Knott's Berry Farm, we're 3 generations strong visiting now!
Did I mention that most of the regular shows are still going on and the park doesn't close until 5:30. So much time for fall fun!

Head out to these Family Fun Weekends in October and you too can enjoy all this and more for what I think is a super low price for the fun.

Have a SPOOKY FARM Halloween!

Knott's Scary Farm Must Do's and a Don't!

I was scared and beyond privileged to attend the media night of Knott's Scary Farm.

Media Passes and Skeleton Key Ready - I almost turned back... almost!
It's been a few years with the kids and lack of sitters to attend but this year I was determined to go and face some old fears that stay with, no matter how old one gets.

Not only did I get to attend, I was able to scream my head off with some amazing ladies while eating some amazing food and really just reliving my youth in a way that was Halloween perfect.

Knott's Berry Farm Season Passes, Perfect for Family Fun!

Peanut's Fun All Year Long!

Fall is here! We love fall. There are so many things to do and see with the seasons changing so slow this year, we still get the opportunity to spend most of our time outdoors.

I have been looking for new things to do with my family while keeping traditions going from when I was a kid.

Some of my most favorite memories took place at +Knott's Berry Farm with the Peanuts Gang of Kids!
My parents used to take my brother and I often. My dad loved Ghost Town and the Wild West Cowboy show while my mom loved to shop the geodes, eat some amazing Mrs. Knott's chicken and a slice of boysenberry pie (every time). We all loved riding the rides and enjoying time together.
