Savannah Chop House Date Night Bliss

Chris is Back at Savannah Chop House!

It's been a while... a while since I had amazing food made for me, a while since my husband and I dressed up for a date night out, a while since I have been to dinner at Savannah Chop House. (Last time was a friends Holiday party in 2001)

When I was invited to dinner by my amazing friends over at +GigaSavvy I was so happy but when I heard it was at the new revamped and re-menu'd Savannah Chop House, I was so eager to get tasting!

There is a new menu and Chef Chris is back bringing it all to us fresh and fierce. He creates drinks that pair with each dish he dreams up. This Chef is creative and loves food. He loves food so much that you can tell his inspiration comes from his heart.

We enjoyed an amazing 3 plus course meal. We totally missed the appetizers but I was waiting for the best man to come home to me and take me on my date! I heard the Smoked Salmon on Toasted Point and the Bruschetta were just wonderful. The Grilled Prosciutto Wrapped shrimp were to die for, especially since the monsters from Knott's Scary Farm were there working up everyone's appetite.

Chef Tzorin introduced us to the menu and what we would be served to eat and drink.

Our first taste was extremely good. Who knew a Tempura Stuffed Zucchini would be my new favorite appetizer! Seriously could have had like 20. But why would I have done that to myself when there was the freshest salad coming up next.
My hubs and I shared both of the salads. The Cesar was amazingly fresh and the Watermelon Beet salad with candied pecans and goat cheese was light and addicting. My husband is not a fan of goat cheese and I had to remind him we were sharing..gosh!

Our mouths were watering as we watched our waiter put down the main dish in front of us. Oh my goodness there sat a beautiful Filet Medallion, on top of it was a huge shrimp prawn. (Probably the one I saw swimming fresh in the tank as we walked in) Paired with Brussels Sprouts and creamy mashed potatoes, dinner was just delightful.

After a few drinks, one fruity and one with mint, I was ready for the warm coffee liquor that was coming up next with dessert. I could not decide what I wanted to taste first. Warm Flourless Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Bean ICe Cream and berries... or...Strawberry Short Cake with fresh Strawberries and Whipped Cream!? Yes, you guessed it, we shared! Seriously so delish.

We enjoyed everything we ate and the company we shared our time with. It was really nice to finally get to meet in person one of my blogging friends that I admire so much. Melissa Northway is not only a great writer but so great to chat with in person. Thanks for the meet and greet Savannah Chop House!

Chef Chris Tzorin and General Manager Philip Roberson were very welcoming and so excited about the new direction of their menu and style that it really did get us excited to be there.

I want to say thanks to everyone involved in our evening last night! My husband and I can not wait to get back to Savannah... I need to taste those appetizers! Really! Great seeing my girls and meeting new friends. Perfect evening.
