Locca Churros + Tea Opens Inside Union Market Mission Viejo at Kaleidoscope & We LOVE it all...

I am Loca for Locca!

Okay so did I just call my self carzy? I did....
I am totally crazy or loca over Locca Churros and Tea! Have you heard about this new little secret spot?
Well it's not that secret it's just new and a must try!

I was able to give Locca a try after a mom meet up last week. All opinions are my own and I am super grateful to Locca for inviting us to try their goodness out.
I really enjoyed how fresh and full of flavor the Locca teas and milk teas are. I also appreciate that they didn't look at me like I was totally loca (I can drop that pun all day) that I asked for No Boba... I know right.. just have to be in the mood.
It makes me smile when an owner takes such pride in the magic behind the scenes to bring us what we taste. Aside from the fresh churros that make your mouth just water, the toppings are nothing short of customizable and delish.
Pile on the different creative ingredients on top of fresh churned ice cream made in socal to bring the most creamy bite to each spoonful.

I found myself saying wow... the kids are going to love these churros too... better than (dare I say it...) Disney churros. Whelp there, I said it. It's true... fresh, warm, packed with sugar and cinnamon and there is something about the batter used.... its addictive. I couldn't stop..
Here are more deets on the new location and all that is offered. I can't wait to get the kids back so they can create and taste too.
Hot off the press....

The New Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad Lands a Permanent Spot on the Habit Menu & I Love It!! #TheHabit

The Habit Burger Grill Brings Bold Flavor With New Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad

Calling ALL BBQ Chicken Salad Lovers.... even those who don't love it... need to try it!
Beginning January 23, The Habit Burger Grill, Irvine based restaurant company renowned for its award-winning Charburgers, introduces a new flavor-filled salad... the Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad and as a permanent addition to their menu.

This past weekend after and in-between two soccer games in San Diego, we found their local The Habit, and dove right into the foodie goodness we love.
I don't mind feeding The Habit to my kiddo in-between soccer games, its grilled, there are many options like chicken or a salad too and we all love it!
I am a huge fan of a BBQ Chicken Salad and this one does not disappoint! Here are more deets on the new fantastic menu item here to stay....

The Habit’s new Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad serves up a perfectly seasoned chargrilled chicken breast atop a bed of hand-cut fresh garden greens with fire-roasted corn, pickled red onions, diced tomatoes, hickory-smoked bacon, and crumbled feta cheese, all tossed in a cilantro lime ranch dressing and topped with a smoky ancho chili BBQ sauce, both made in-house.

The Harlem Globetrotters are Back in SoCal!

The Harlem Globetrotters “Fan Powered” 2019 World Tour premiers February 15-23 at various southland venues.

It’s family entertainment at its finest -- interactive, action- packed, and simply pure fun for kids and families.
I have not taken my kids and I'm super excited to! My parents took my brother and I in the late 80's and I will never forget it.
The mystery of "how'd they do that" will always be a fun childhood memory. I am really looking forward to giving my kids this experience too!
A little history...
In 1926, in Chicago, a 24-year-old businessman named Abe Saperstein formed a small basketball team called the Savoy Big Five. He was just trying to promote a nightclub called the Savoy Ballroom, but in just a few years the team had played over 1000 games around the country and become the Harlem Globetrotters.
Throughout their history, the Original Harlem Globetrotters have showcased their iconic talents in 120 countries and territories on six continents, often breaking down cultural and societal barriers while providing fans with their first-ever basketball experience. Proud inductees of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the Globetrotters have entertained hundreds of millions of fans—among them popes, kings, queens, and presidents.

The Queen is IN at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - New Show Review Plus Discount Code

Have You Heard The News?! Medieval Times Has A New Queen On The Throne...

Let's Joust!
I have heard those words for over 25 years while visiting our most favorite Knights of the Round Table at Medieval Times, Buena Park !
Since I was about 10 my parents have been bringing us to enjoy "Dinner and Tournament" !
We used to visit the castle at least 2 times a year, if not more, and enjoyed every moment of the cheering, eating, yelling (in the most friendly competitive way...hehe), jousting, preshow and so much more !

My kiddos have been asking to go back to Medieval Times for about 6 months now. My daughter heard that after all these years there is finally a Queen reigning over the castle in succession on her late Father, the King.

For the first time in Medieval Times' 35-year history, a Queen has taken the throne.
Her Majesty Dona Maria Isabella presides over a tournament of knights who gather in celebration to test their skill against one another in a series of games, jousting, and combat.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Series - You Can Watch NOW! #DisneyMarvel #MarvelSuperHeroAdventures

Have You Heard About Marvel Super Hero Adventures?

Disney and Marvel, two of our favorites, collaborate to bring us awesome adventures in family - friendly entertainment.

All Opinions are my own based on our own experiences.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures

Never heard of this series? It's okay neither had I until a few days ago. Though, I am a little bummed I didn't know about the episodes sooner!

MARVEL SUPER HERO ADVENTURES is a new series of super cute preschool shorts titled “Marvel Super Hero Adventures” available on YouTube, DisneyNOW App and seen on Disney Channel between scheduled programs.

In line with this video series are age-appropriate chapter books and Playschool Toys by HASBRO

These days it's so easy to watch anywhere at any time. I love it.

With Disney Now
https://disneynow.go.com we can watch all the kid safe programming we want.

I can even walk away and start dinner feeling comfortable knowing there will not be anything inappropriate popping up.

Last night while my older one was at soccer I sat down with my younger kiddo to catch a little bit of Marvel Super Hero Adventures and see what it's all about.

We loved it. For me anything that is kid friendly and relatable in real life is a win. It's great to see how the kids can gain courage, confidence and knowledge of basically how to be good and helpful to others and to oneself.

There is a hero in all of us.
My son who is on the Autism spectrum relatea to courage and confidence directly but its nice to see that others will take from the series something good for themselves and as well.

Check it out on YouTube too here

Check out the videos for this show on DisneyNow App
But wait!! For being an awesome reader I've got a special Disney magical treat for you.

This a BONUS video that is unlisted! Only people with this link can see it!

We are officially Marvel shorts fans and cant wait to check out the comic books too. Talk about edufun!

Enjoy!! Let me know what you think of the series too.

Favorite Reasons to Stay at Idyllcreek A Frame Cabin in Idyllwild with Experience Idyllwild - #Idyllwild

We love Idyllwild and Staying with Experience Idyllwild

This visit to Idyllwild was nothing short of spectacular staying at the cozy unique Idyllcreek A-Frame cabin.

Experience Idyllwild makes it so easy and fun to drift away into the fresh clean are of mountain life yet still feel at home with everything you need. It's glamping at its finest!
Thanks to Experience Idyllwild for the cabin adventure. All opinions are my own.
Winter is here in SoCal and with just a short 2 hour drive you are in Idyllwild. The route I like to take brings us a nice 22 minute drive up the mountain with scenic views.
This is the first time I went to the mountains with 3 kiddos while my hubs stayed behind to work. Sad for him. Fun time as usual for us. Thanks to Chevy I had a Tahoe to pack up all our gear and feel super safe on the mountain drive. (check out my Chevy Tahoe Review here)
Knowing I dont have to bring anything but what we need and groceries is a relief!
Full kitchen for me to cook at my leisure and I love that!

There is plenty of space for us all, a cozy fireplace and a Jacuzzi on the porch.

The kids loved the hot tub before a shower & dinner for almost two hours!

Dana Wharf Whale Watching Experience Tips & Review Plus #Giveaway

Calling all Whale Watching Fans...

Dana Wharf Whale Watching is a Family Fun Outing Must!

It's hard for us to find something fun for us to do days after the Christmas New Year craze... but... it's our boys birthday just days after New Years!
This year we were so grateful that Dana Wharf Whale Watching invited us to come on board for a tour.
My son loves the ocean, who am I kidding, we all do! For his birthday we surprised him with an early morning tour out.

We were so impressed with the Captain and his knowledge as well as clarity when speaking about the sealife he would do his best for us to see. The crew is great!
It was an amazing treat to see more than 500 dolphins swimming around us. The most precious of moments to me is seeing the kids faces when they see a massive humpback whale next to the boat.
See video here.

Whale watching is really a beautiful experience and it's not guaranteed you will see a whale. There is just something about being on the open ocean that is calming and peaceful.
Tips for your trip..
* we liked the early departure time of 10am.
During winter it was not too cold not too hot from the moment we took off to return to dock

My Family is in Love with the Chevy Tahoe 2019 Premier - Test Drive #ChevyTahoe

Siren Red Hot - 2019 Chevy Tahoe Premier 4WD Review

We love the 2019 Chevy Tahoe, I didn't really want to give her back but I had to. Now I'm dreaming of her and all the greatness an SUV should be and here is why...
Chevy Tahoe Pinterest PIN IT

Thanks to Chevrolet we were able to tour in safe comfortable luxury from our SoCal mountains to our coastal OC beaches and maybe even girl scouts, soccer and the school pick up line too.

All opinions and experiences are my own. I wanted to share what really stuck out to me in the test drive as a notch above the rest for travel, safety, entertainment and comfort.

My Faves About the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe...

Comfort and Family Perfect - Seating seven(option for eight available), with captain seats in the middle, the entry of kids and taller sized people is super convenient.

My husband is 6'3" and I'm 5'7"... even our 10 year old is 5'6" and we piled in a car seat for the 6yo & others for a comfortable fit and drive.

Entertainment - Aside from Apple and Android auto capabilities there are also Rear-Seat Entertainment System with Blu-ray® playback available as add-ons. The audio sounded clear and played both the movies and satellite radio on point. I love that this can come factory with warranty too. I've had aftermarket audio and it's not better these days from my experience.

Safety Features - With sensors everywhere there is a kind reminder or heads up to almost every off route move you make. There is even a reminder to check your back seat. Groceries, pets, kids... not that one would intentionally leave anything in the car but helpful reminder anyways. While in reverse I felt my seat vibrate and was shocked at how the sensor was reacting to the basketball hoop at the end of our driveway to alert me all around.

Visibility- wide view even with the TV monitor screen down. The rear vision camera is clear and sharp showing you the entire space behind the Tahoe. Cross traffic alerts are helpful when there's a lot of girl scouts or soccer team in the Tahoe singing and playing games! The rear parking assistant combined with the blind spot zone alert bring safety tech to the next level.

Durability and Strength - From climbing mountains to cruising the sand beach side the drive was comfortable, confident, safe and a lot of family fun! The curves of the mountain felt as if I was in a coup low to the ground with the center of gravity still and sturdy.

Cargo or Passenger ready with Easy Fold Down Seats - I'd love to say it's perfect for all but I'll speak for myself when I say this soccer, girl scout, adventure seeking mom loves how quick and easily accessible the seats manipulate.

Specs and Highlights since I love these deets...

With V8 horsepower and 22mpg the Chevy Tahoe really surprised me on how many miles we were able to travel in the tank of gas! From Orange County to Idyllwild in the Mountains and back with plenty to spare for more travels.

With the ability to seat 7 or 8 there's room for larger families, friends to tag along, carpools, cargo, multiple car seats and more.

While there are nine colors to delightfully select from, I'm not going to lie, the Siren Red Tintcoat color had my heart racing! I mean my holiday dress even matched.

Starting at 48k I was so surprised at all the bells and whistles that accompanied the top notch in technology safety features.
The navigation was spot on whole in the mountains as well as around town locally. I do love how the Navigation screen slips down and you can place items right behind it.

Perfect for mom life and quick access gold Fish snacks to toss to the back seat.. just saying!

"Tahoe offers advanced active safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control - Advanced, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Alert. You can drive with added confidence knowing Tahoe can help you prevent a potential collision."

I love that Chevrolet takes high priority in safety features. I want to remind you that our test drive even had seats that would vibrate in account with the safety system sensors and cameras. Best option!! Just Amazing! Shocking at first when you don't know but none the less brilliant.
As a mom carrying precious cargo I would totally suggest you look at and review your options with the Tahoe when SUV shopping if any of the above had you saying "oh, I like that too or that's important to me too".

What we loved most (kids perspective)...
Cup Holders - the kids loved that there were plenty of places to store their water bottles, juices or friends drinks too. I loved that as well since I am a fan of coffee and water with me at all times!
Entertainment System - I totally forgot to connect them to the WiFi that was available but they loved watching movies in surround sound or with headphones on. A bonus for longer drives. We often have out of area soccer tournaments.
Space - the kids noticed that there was a lot of space and room to move around, pack in and settle down. No one felt cramped in any of the seats and while we traveled to the mountains with a full load of cargo, everyone was comfortable too.

Heated and Air Conditioned Seats - Maybe it's a kids favorite cause they seem to forget their sweatshirts over under dress when I've reminded them to layer up but none the less the heated seats are a huge hit for us all. I personally loved the heated steering when we drove to the mountains but the kids absolutely loved the heated seats after soccer and while out in the evenings. I know they would enjoy the cooling seats as well in the hot summer when coming home from the beach.
The Color - My son to a huge liking to the Siren Red color we test drove. It was memorizing and he just fell in love. He really wants us to have a red car... now he wants us to trade in our mid size SUV for the Siren Red Tahoe. He has my style of car goals there!
It was an adventurous test drive by purpose to put her to the test but we fell in love with the Chevy Tahoe Premier by choice, it was too easy to appreciate all she has to offer.

Please check out some of our video recaps here and live tours of the Chevy Tahoe during our test drive here
It's a great way to get a more personal look inside the Tahoe before heading to the dealer too.

Oh, you can also follow #ChevyTahoe and #FindNewRoads for all the latest and greatest about all things #Chevrolet .
Chevrolet just shared some awesome tips on Winter Driving and Road Trips.
Don’t Drive on Empty: Bad weather can cause unexpected delays, so keep your gas tank at least half full and your cell phone charged.

Prepare Your Car for Winter: Have your dealer or a trusted mechanic do any scheduled service. Make sure your battery, tires, lights, wiper blades and other critical parts are ready for winter. Check tire pressure, as it can drop as the weather gets colder.

Consider Winter Tires: Winter tires provide added traction in snow and ice, even for vehicles with four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. If you drive regularly in winter weather, a set of winter tires can be a smart investment.

Know Your Vehicle: Review the sections of your owner’s manual covering antilock brakes, traction control, and four- or all-wheel-drive (if equipped) to make sure you are comfortable with their operation. For quick and easy access to your owner’s manual, check out the myChevrolet app.

Stock Your Car: In addition to a snow brush and ice scraper, it’s a good idea to carry a snow shovel and abrasive material such as sand or cat litter.  Jumper cables, a flashlight and emergency flares can help if you encounter unexpected problems. Cold weather clothing and emergency blanket or sleeping bag can be critical if you are stuck or stranded.
Great tips!

Live video chat about the Chevy Tahoe 2019 Premier here.

Have any questions about our test drive or the Chevy Tahoe, please, drop them in the comments or visit Chevrolet here!

Happy Driving...
