Friday night we attended the Opening Night of +Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at the +HondaCenterAnaheim . Thank you to both the venue and event for a wonderful experience. 

The Circus has a brand new show in town - Out Of This World is wonderful!

We have been going to the circus for years and it is nice to see that Ringling Bros have taken steps to retire their elephants to their forever homes while keeping that Circus Feeling alive. 

My kids and I decided that since dad was working we would take Papou (grandpa). My parents used to take me when I was a kid and I thought it would be great to have him there to see my kids enjoy the fun.

My mom always said that there was a huge difference in the two but it was not until I saw for myself how much more efficient the private instructors were that I realized this was a great option.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for 15-17 year olds worldwide.

To provide teenagers with the training and tools to be safe and responsible behind the wheel, Kia Motors America (KMA) and the B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe) Teen Pro-Active Driving School are bringing the 501(c)(3) charity’s free advanced driver training to San Diego July 30-31. 

According to a recent study, the B.R.A.K.E.S. program reduces the accident rate of teen drivers by approximately 64% in their first three years of driving. 

The B.R.A.K.E.S. curriculum includes advanced, behind-the-wheel training from professional driving instructors using Kia provided vehicles. Training includes: skid control, distracted driving awareness, panic stopping (ABS activation), drop-wheel recovery and car control.

Together, we can help save lives by preparing teens for the hazardous conditions they will face while on the road. Founder of B.R.A.K.E.S. and former NHRA Top Fuel drag racer, Doug Herbert, and representatives from Kia are available for interviews. Click herefor images and video.

Aquarium of the Pacific Hosts International Save the Vaquita Day July 9th Be Wise to What You CAN Do to Help

THE AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC WILL PARTICIPATE IN INTERNATIONAL SAVE THE VAQUITA DAY JULY 9

On International Save the Vaquita Day the Aquarium of the Pacific will be holding an event to bring light to the plight of Vaquita.

WHAT: You can help the Aquarium of the Pacific protect a critically endangered species and spread the message of conservation on International Save the Vaquita Day and beyond. Found only in the northern part of the Gulf of California, Mexico, the vaquita porpoise is the world’s most endangered marine mammal. Only about sixty vaquitas remain, according to a report by the International Committee for the Recovery of the Vaquita (CIRVA).

The Aquarium will host activities and education booths to build public awareness of the vaquita and the threats that have brought it to the brink of extinction. The Aquarium of the Pacific and a team of aquariums and zoos across the country are asking the public to get involved in a campaign to help this animal, the smallest cetacean (whale, dolphin, or porpoise) on the planet. The current vaquita population represents a decline of more than 92 percent since 1997. Unless Mexico extends the gillnet ban enacted in 2015 and enforces regulations to stop illegal fishing, the vaquita will be driven to extinction within five years, according to CIRVA.

Raging Waters is huge! With so much to do the day goes by so fast leaving you wanting more.

Just 40 mins from where the 405 and 5 meet (where I drove from), Raging Waters is located where the 57, 10 and 210 freeways meet in the city of San Dimas. It was perfect for an all day visit on a Friday, opening at 10am and closing at 6pm, allowing us to miss traffic on the way home once we were ready to leave...

My family had such a great time and it had been a while since I have visited so to show my kids the old and all the new was very special to me and well super FUN!

We spent all day at Raging Waters and we could not get enough. The Time flew by so fast and we all wanted to stay longer. With that said we had a chance to get to know the water park a bit and see the ins and outs of how to make the most of the day.

* Bring cheap flip flops...wear them everywhere. Even if it's not too hot it's just easier to get around than bare feet walking in water from spot to spot...and less time needed to carry the littles.
