Behind the Scene Hard Hat Tour of #NinjagoWorld - Opens May 5th!

Ninjago World Opens on May 5th!

Get all the details NOW though since we were given a behind the scenes tour of the hard  hat construction area that will soon host the newest ride with the most cutting edge player participation technology!

PC LegolandCa

Are you excited yet?! I was so thrilled to be able to walk the dirt and hear the details of all the ins and outs form the master builders and creators themselves. They are even more excited to bring us this new area in +legolandcalifornia that I could not stop smiling as I listened to, and then saw, their blood sweat and hard work be brought to life!

So here is what happened on our hard hat tour...

* Behind the scene tour of the ride itself on the track
* Short clip of the 4D action that each rider will face off with
* Learned about the Triotech Technology that will make it possible to use just your hands to actually play the game with your movements!
* Will have an Asian Street food Inspired menu, It is delish and on point for the taste and flavors!

Here is some info from the press release that I want to make sure you all get to read!

Wearing a hard hat and standing on dirt as construction workers pound hammers in the background, LEGOLAND® California Resort’s General Manager Peter Ronchetti stood in front of media declaring May 5, 2016 as the opening date for LEGO® NINJAGO® World. “Years in the making, this one-acre new land features NINJAGO® The Ride which uses cutting-edge technology never used in any other theme park in North America,” said Ronchetti. He continued, “Knowing how popular NINJAGO is among our young guests, I’m excited to see them interact and engage as they train to be ninjas.”

NINJAGO The Ride enables guests to demonstrate their ninja skills by simply using their hands instead of a hand-held device. The Maestro hand gesture technology is manufactured by Triotech, the world leader in media based interactive attractions, and enables guests to throw fire balls, shock waves, ice and lightning to defeat villains. Riders collect points for their training and battle efforts throughout the ride and scores are displayed when their quest is completed. Effects such as heat, smoke and wind are incorporated throughout the adventure, giving guests the ultimate interactive 4D experience.

LEGOLAND California Resort’s Project Manager Chris Brzezicki demonstrated how the ride vehicles will glide through the ride prior to leading media along the vehicles’ route. “Every detail is designed to enhance the guest experience and immerse them into the adventure,” said Brzezicki. When referring to the theming, he stated, “The intent is to blur the line between the real physical theming and the virtual animated projection.”

Before guests board NINJAGO The Ride, they will have the opportunity to train like a ninja in four other attractions throughout NINJAGO World: Zane’s Temple Build, Kai’s Spinners, Cole’s Rock Climb and Jay’s Lightning Drill. All are designed to test guests balance, agility and speed. A new retail outlet, Wu’s Warehouse and dining option, Ninja Kitchen, featuring a special twist on Asian street food with Banh Mi sandwiches, are also new additions.

Several of the 22 new LEGO models going into NINJAGO World were also revealed today including Master Wu, ninjas Jay, Lloyd and Kai plus swords of the four elements. Other models include guardian dragons, a monastery and a 500 pound model of ninjas Nya and Zane created out of 73,600 LEGO bricks that took four Model Builders 550 hours to build. The model depicts Nya (ninja of water) hurling water at Zane (ninja of ice) who turns the water to ice in midair as part of their training.

Pet Health - Keeping our Girl Feeling Young

Keeping our Pets Healthy!

Do you have a pet? Are you like our family where you are calling your pet your kid?!

We got our first taste of being caregivers when we brought home our sweet and protective Kandi girl.

Kandi is a mut, we rescued her when she was just about 5 weeks old..super tiny. She was our first love, our first baby and to this day our best guard girl!

Kandi is not a puppy anymore...she's about 11 years old. She's not as fast, sheds a lot more and needs a lot more attention but in a different way.

We have been looking for supplements to help her hips and joints but taste like treats for her. Also important is keeping our Kandi girl flea and tickfree.

With that being said, we have tried VetIQ Maximum Strength Hip & Joint soft chews for about a month now and have had a very awesome experience thus far. I know our Kandi girl loves them since she's always so happy when she sees me go for the bag! She seems to have an extra spring in her step this last week of giving her 2 chews daily for about a month. (how many chews varies by weight)

What is in the chews? I see ingredients that are in multi vitamins that I see on the shelf for adults too. The Hip & Joint soft chews have Glucosamine, MSM and Krill. All of these help the muscles.

We take her out to the dog park and dog run often so it is super important for us to keep her up to date on her vaccines and also her flea and tick meds. We gave her Pet Action Plus and have not seen her itching and have not found any fleas on her at all.

I have not seen any bugs, fleas or ticks at all on her in the 4 weeks we started her on Pet Action Plus!

It had been nice to see that there is a shine to her coat that has not been there in years. I am not sure if that has to do with the ingredients in her Hip & Joint chews but hey if it is, that is an added bonus!

The best part about it...Kandi is looking good and seems to really enjoy the soft chews by VetIQ.

We love to see our first girl happy and healthy. I am looking forward to trying out more of the lines preventative care and featured items.

Have you tried VetIQ brand? Have you given your furbabies Pet Action Plus?...let me know what you and your dog think!?

The opinions in this article are my own. I do not work for, or with, any brand mentioned in this article, nor do I have any official relationship with them. I have a relationship with GigaSavvy, for whom I create original editorial content.

New Limited Time Spring Salads at Boudin! *Giveaway*

New Spring Salads At Boudin Are Fresh And Flavorful

Happy Spring!

Earlier this week I was able to taste the new Spring Salads at +Boudin Bakery in Huntington Beach.
To say they are delish is a total understatement. They are all full of significant ingredients that, the ever so awesome, Chef Alan Skversky has specifically developed for each one.

The dedication and pride that goes into the Chef's creations is an art of it's own but to see him describe and serve you that tasty bright dish is an honor. He truly loves food and fresh food at that. I love that too!

What I think is very different and always a win... Boudin has Happy Hour every day after 4:30pm! The pairings they offer from the Kendall Jackson and La Crema bring out the bold tastes of each salad. Need help deciding what wine to pair any item with, just ask, they will help!

All of the New Spring Salads are made fresh in house down to the dressing. Each Salad is carefully crafted so that even each grape is sliced in half, that's the way Chef Alan says it's best!

So in case your mouth is not watering yet, let me give you the insider look at all of the salads that will be available, March 23rd!

The Mango Quinoa Salad - Vegetarian and Contains Nuts. At 287 calories this goodness is made up of romaine lettuce, arugula, red quinoa, mango, red grapes, red onion, almonds, goat cheese and a house made mango citrus vinaigrette. It really does bring so many flavors together and the mango is the most perfect tart sweet bang to tie it all together.

The Lemony Couscous. A favorite from last year that the Chef said everyone wanted to have returned to the season menu. This was my favorite. Totally Greek-ish hehe! Spring mix, Israeli Couscous, feta cheese, garbanzo beans, cucumber, grape tomatoes, Kalamata olives, roasted red pepper, red onion, parsley, creamy lemon dressing and only 427 calories.

The Forbidden Rice and Chicken Sesame - Contains Sesame Oil. I was surprisingly satisfied with the blend of the black rice and apples. That earthy boldness of the rice with the mix of fresh apples is just delightful. Baby Spinach, black rice, all natural chicken, Granny Smith apples, garbanzo beans, pickled red onion, goat cheese, house made sesame dressing and only 416 calories. Yum!

The Bacon, Blue and Beets Salad - Contains Nuts. I am not sure what happened with my photo. It is not on my phone and this was the first salad I tried and took a photo of! But I will add in an image shortly. The Salad itself did not last long on my plate! I am not the biggest fan of Blue cheese but this was delish. You can also ask for anything on the side too! Made up of a Spring mix, all natural chicken, red onion, roasted golden and red beets, green beans, applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese, spiced walnuts and ranch dressing, this salad is at 460 calories.

I had so much fun tasting all the new Spring Salads at Boudin, I am looking forward to returning very soon, I need another Lemony Couscous Salad stat!!

Night of the Stars at Aquarium of the Pacific, Educational and Fun

Sea-life and Cultural Entertainment at the +Aquarium of the Pacific Night under the Stars

Beautiful evening at the Aquarium of the Pacific, where cultural dance, music and sea-life come together!

So much to see and do but our mini contributors Ava and Sam give us their top 5 favs of the evening...

* The fish of course so many and everywhere. From bright to big and little to camouflaged they are all so uniquely magnificent.

* Absolutely do not miss our top fav...the jellyfish. LOVE to watch how beautiful they are in their simplicity.

* We really liked going outside to the area where you can pet the sharks and stingrays. The touch ponds are such a great way to get everyone involved with the fun. Young and old can enjoy the feel of the sea-life! This time, Grandma was the only brave one to do it!

* Another must see are the ever so playful sea lions. They were so fun to watch and see how interactive they are with people. Doing tricks and showing off for the crowd...so super fun!

* The amazing and talented dancers. Beautifully made head pieces and outfits. Each one unique and very detailed. You will fall in love the music and watching it all come together is pure art.

* So much to do and see at the Aquarium but during the Night Under the Stars you will definitely enjoy learning about saving water, how the earth works and how long it takes to dispose of food/trash.

So educational and fun at the same time, this is why we love the Aquarium of the Pacific and all its staff...from fish to marine biologist, they all make the magic of sealife come to life for us all as a team!

Thank you Aquarium of the Pacific!

Weekly Sports Prep Tips to Keeping Healthy

Year-Round Play Safe Tips for Weekly Practice and Games!

Youth Soccer is almost year-round but how do you keep the kids full of energy and healthy!?
Fun Play is Safe Play!
Soccer has been my passion for years, I started playing since I was 10, now my own kids play and I couldn't be happier watching them.

I know how important it is to keep hydrated, eat well, store energy and keep a healthy lifestyle when you play a sport year-round... but there is more to it.

Here are a few tips that I have followed for years and still think are worth keeping up with!

* Always stretch and shake it before getting into your practice and or game. Don't want to pull or pinch anything.
* Games and Practice - Eat well enough in advance so that there are no tummy issues. We eat at least 2 hours prior.

* Snacks that are best - Complex Carbs such as cereal, pasta or toast. Just remember to eat well in advance of game or practice.

* Keep Hydrated but don't over do it, you may get cramps, little sips. Drink a few 12oz glasses of water 2 hours prior to game or practice. A little bit more before the game and every 15 mins or so during game and last but not least always drink water after!

* All Weather - Sports are played in all weather conditions. Dress appropriately for the weather you are playing in. Working hard at practice may lead to sweating, a jacket to toss on after is ideal to keep that heat in and chill out.

* Multi Practice week - We try to get our homework done on the less hectic days, that does NOT always work out but it does help when we can achieve that. I have used sports as a bribe to get homework done or kept the kids from the activity over homework... but I am taking a stand against that. I will not do that again. Sports are my kids outlets of energy bursts and mind clearance. They love their sports and activities and I feel like those are the breaks in the daily they need. I will now start taking away TV time or have a bed time be earlier. Do you have a suggestion on this? Tell me please!

* Be Positive - Always tell your teammates they did a great job and your coach thank you for his/her time! Most of these sports are volunteer or little pay so the commitment the adults give to the kids should get thanks too! Not a bad idea to thank your parents too for the support and getting you to practice on time!

Do you have any tips to add to year-round sports play!? Put them in the comments below!

Disney Themed Party Ideas in Prep to Host a Disney Kids Preschool WDW Celebration

We love Disney and are excited to be hosting a #DisneyKids celebration!

Last year we hosted a #DisneySide Cars preschool party, well a few of them, and loved every moment of that opportunity! To see the kids faces enjoying Disney outside of Disneyland with activities and treats like they were visiting the Disneyland Resort filled my heart.

It's so fun to celebrate with Disney. Our family loves to spend time at the Disney Parks and have been talking about saving up for a trip to Walt Disney World.

This fun opportunity of hosting a preschool party to get familiar with Walt Disney World will give us and other families a preview of what we can wish for in a magical trip to WDW!

I am so excited to host this #DisneyKids party!

To prep I'm going to go back and see what I did for the other celebrations and also some of our previous birthday party celebrations too!

Check out some of that fun here , here and below for awesome Disney Party Ideas.

Disney themed Mickey Birthday:

This was my son's first birthday celebration. It was ChEARs from Ear to Ear!

Something for Everyone!

Love Kia's Soul

The Kia Soul Left us Wanting More Drive Time!

Thanks to Drive Shop USA we were able to test drive a +Kia Motors America Soul.

Last Friday when my Kia Soul was delivered I was instantly in LOVE with the sporty look, two tone color and the size.

I knew we would have a fun weekend being able to fit all the things I like to take on outings. You know how it goes when you need to bring your stroller, bag of things the kids need and your own stuff!

I mentioned a little bit about the compact sporty car I drive now and how it is having some issues here in an older post.

I was totally and pleasantly surprised when I sat in the Kia and realized how much more room it had. There is plenty of space in each seat for all body sizes and types. (my husband is 6'2"and about 200lbs)
