Summer is officially over, not really, just kids going back to school.

 

The fun doesn't have to end with school. We love to stay at Great Wolf Lodge random times year-round.

 



 

There are always wolftastic things to do between festivities in the lobby, attractions and of course the waterpark!

 

We've written about seasonal activities and things to do, the Paw Pass, Ten Pay Alley bowling, on site fun and the best way to enjoy the water park here  but.... I want to talk food this time.

 

Yeah Food! We love to travel and dine out while we travel and then some.

 

Something I love to do is stay at hotels and resorts that have breakfast buffet as an on site option.

 

 



 

Not only does Great Wolf Lodge have Dunkin' on site but they also have the best breakfast buffet around.

The characters come to each table and spend a bunch of time with everyone. No need to hop up and leave your bellies hungry... just enjoy the food while and be sure that you will get a personal visit.

We LOVE Riptide Rockin Sushi but it's been a while and it was a first for our birthday girl!

 

Birthday dinner with a twist thanks to Riptide Rockin Sushi at the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo for hosting my tween!

 



 

It had been a long weekend of soccer down South in San Diego for three days. It was hot and we basically survived on water, snacks, salads, sandwiches and more snacks.

 

Since we had a late game last Monday, yes Monday, we decided it would be fun to surprise Z with another experience.

 



 

If you have been following along, remember, Z asked for mini experiences for her birthday this year instead of a big pool party like she has had since she was a baby.

 

Since she is a foodie, yes we've created a monster with this, we though it would be fun to visit somewhere Z has never been.

 

 

Riptide Rockin Sushi was just birthday perfect.

 

My birthday girl loves entertainment and of course shrimp, sushi, seafood, steak, okay a true foodie is what we've really got on our hands.

Last week we spent the day splashing around some pretty intense water play floats at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort !

The kids had an amazing time & so did I. Paddling around the bay and with in 10 feet from my kiddos play on and swimming around the inflatables!

Look how cute they are.... We showed you them on our IG stories last visit. The one with the loft space looks like it would fit my family perfectly!

 



 

They also have a pool for their guests and the grounds are beautiful. Cabana rentals on site too. Just look at that view.

 



 

Make the most of your visit or celebration waterfront with catering from Back Bay Bistro too. We love the sandwiches and fresh fruit and veggies.

 



 

Fresh eats and treats. With an assortments of sweets I was happily on my way to enjoy watching the kids swim and water play.

 



 

The water play is amazing. Everything and anything from the inflatables, paddle boats, stand up paddle boards and more.

Last week my girl spent her birthday experience with a few sweet friends at Raging Waters LA!

 

She loves it there... her favorites are the wave pool, lazy river, rocket ride and so many fun water slides.

 



 

Thank you to Raging Waters for hosting us this summer. So much fun and all opinions are my own.

 

Summer is so fun, my kids are home, we get to hit the pool and the beach often and we wait all year long for the warmest SoCal weather for Raging Waters to open for the season!

 

Since Zoe asked if we could skip the big birthday party and have a few fun experiences with some close friends, I immediately remembered how much she loves Raging Waters and started brainstorming a day filed with water, splashing, water slides, sun and more.

It was really great to know that things would be taken care of on site. With the preplanning it's really easy to coordinate any type of party style you may have. 

 

We loved the cabana.
 



 
You can bring decorations in, we know my girl is a soccer is life kinda kid, and put them up in and around the cabana too!

 



 

Add food, drinks and even a cake... how easy peasy does that make it... very! Pizza packages are the way to go!

Can you believe it's time to get ready for back to school? I know right!

 

We love spending summer at the beach, toes in the sand, laying out and splashing at the pool and of course we pack snacks to go along with us.

 

I am always a fan of packing what we will eat so that I can manage the kids, toys, towels, food, drinks and all other things we take with us. I often take Boudin Bread with us, sliced and eaten just like that.

 





 

Last week we took a break from the sun and shopped till we dropped for back to school clothes at MainPlace Mall.

 

The kids get so hungry shopping, oh who am I kidding, I am always hungry and we're a foodie family. I thought it would be fun to have a special lunch at one of our most favorite eateries.
