#OAOTWEETUP at Outlets at Orange !

Fall Fashion, Fall Foods and Fun !

Last night I was privileged to attend a fall fashion preview at the Outlets at Orange. There was a lot to see and taste as the event was put on in such a fun way that it was like a mini LA Fashion Week preview !

With seasons changing every few months (well in most places other than SoCal..), it's fun to see what fashions are headed to the shops !

Some of my favorites were featured at the event. Saks Off Fifth and Banana Republic are always on my browsing list each season! They seem to hit it spot on for men and women - top to bottom . I saw a pair of men's shoes that looked perfect for Mike but sold out in his size !

A lot of fun bring colors are "in style" and being paired with calf length boots and a black rebel short jacket or long coat. Of course the houndstooth is still showing its black and white - I like it !

The models were decked out in some of the hottest fashions for this Fall! Not bad - not bad at all !
I loved all the new styles for this Fall but browsing does work up an appetite - so I also enjoyed some of the sweets and foods that were offered to us while we hung out a bit and wrapped up the night with fun the photo booth !

Awesome night out at the Outlets at Orange !
Thanks for the fun and sneak peek of this years Fall Fashion !

Carnitas (Pork Shoulder) at HOME !

Winner Winner Carnitas Dinner !

I love food and usually I will post about places to eat that have good deals or are just phenomenal ...but occasionally I like to share my own #yummyformytummy creations too..

My #slowcooker #carnitas is yummy..even my kid loves it ..in a taco..with sides..or just as is !

Need:
Slow Cooker / Crock pot or a Rice cooker that slow cooks too
Salt
Pepper
Garlic fresh 4 pieces of the clove
Garlic salt
That's it ! Sometimes I add a little lemon too..

I start with pork shoulder ... I cut a few slits into it and fill it with chopped garlic.. then save the rest for the top of it

I then put just a 1/4 water into crock pot..you don't have to..the juices will be there but I like it to not stick while heating up..

To the water add a few pinches of all the seasonings ..stir it up ..

Drop in your pork shoulder and again season...season the top and sides with all you seasonings to taste..we like garlic so I use more of that than salt but season to your taste

That's it !

I've also added oregano and rosemary but more to a pork loin ...not for carnitas

Close the lid and I set the slow cooker for a total of 4.5 hours..but at the 3 hour mark I open and look at it.. I leave it for the extra time so it's super soft and almost falls apart... an additional 1 hour to 1.5 hours is what I suggest but check and adjust to your liking..just make sure it's fully cooked

A great side would be mashed potatoes too cause you can use the juices to make a quick gravy ...but... for carnitas it's taco time in our house !!!

Either way it's #yummygoodness and I'd love to hear if you try it and like it ...or if you too have a recipe that you'd like to share !!

#homecooked #diy #greatfood @FoodNetwork

First pic is at the 3 hr mark ..second two pics are at 4.5 hrs and on warm for 30 mins.

Have a #HappyTuesday all !

Its Time For some CHILI !!

Fall is here... so I bring my crock pot out a lot ! I have a few favorites.. here is one.. CHILI !

Here is a yummy ‪#‎chili‬ ‪#‎crockpot‬ ‪#‎slowcooker‬ recipe ...
Will need:
chili powder
ground cumin
cayenne pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
salt
pepper
Pinch of sugar
1 to 2 lbs of ground beef or in this case I used turkey for the first time and it was great and just tasty. I use this as a 2 day meal or share with others use 1 lb for less for sure or less if you'd rather your chili be more beans less meat..
Beans.. I used kidney beans, white beans, pinto beans (1 super large can) and chili beans .. 2 cans of all others than pinto.
Toss these into your slow cooker
1 can diced tomato and 1 can diced tomato with chili's .
Toss this into your slow cooker as well.
Now..
Season to taste.. my family likes it with a little heat so I add more of the chili powder and ok all of these get added until I taste the spice that's right for the heat desired
Brown your meat on stove until it's just done not longer and toss in some of your seasoning mix too while cooking..when done drain from juices and mix with beans.
Let it all slow cook together on low for 2 to 3 hrs then let it sit on warm ...
Done and done.. yummy !
Pair it with some cheese, onion, sour cream or in a sourdough bowl and oh my ‪#‎yummygoodness‬
