SLAPFISH is Now OPEN in Irvine near UCI and it is Tasty! GIVEAWAY

New to the University Center next to UCI is SLAPFISH

"It's so FRESH that it will slap you" - yup that is what I was told when I asked what the slogan was.. and I LOVE IT! The reason they are called SLAPFISH and a good reason at that.
Location is UCI University Center
Opening up their 6th location, 5th here in the US, the food is so fresh and clean tasting that I could not stop tasting the eats they were bringing out.
Sustainable Tastes Better - YES IT DOES!
My daughter and I LOVE seafood and she dove right into the fish taco. "Mom, seriously what is this in the taco, it makes it so perfect". Yes! It's their slaw mix in their Ultimate Fish Taco that is the treat to an already tasty fish. Just perfect indeed.
With her Ultimate Fish Taco - the second one...

I totally enjoyed the LobsterRoll and to my surprise I fell in love with the no carb lettuce lobster roll that was so fresh can crisp, perfect for a summer day or for me, ON THE GO , maybe to the beach with the kids.
Lobster Lettuce Roll.. Oh My GOSH!
I also asked if there was call ahead, at first I thought why wouldn't there be... but then they said they had TO GO but no cal ahead. They explained that the catch is so fresh and meant to be eaten that way , sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up isn't the way to go but having you wait for your fresh meal to be fresh for you is the way to go ... you know, I couldn't agree more! Thank you!
Ultimate Fish Taco, Sweet Spicy Fish Bites
Cucumber Salad with fresh tartar sauce
Everything we had a bite of was extremely flavored and in the best way.
MY daughter was so excited to come back, I think she used the excuse that my husband just has to try it out, so that she could return asap. I know it!

They also have kids meals and menu to keep them busy... love it!
See you soon +Slapfish Restaurant - can not wait to return!

Check out all the details on the Food Truck turned multi brick and mortal location here.

Also if you can get over to the Irvine location you have to taste the Anteater... after UCI's mascot this unique mini slider burger is fresh surf and turf, topped with a shrimp between two buns, amazing!

To help kick off your appetite for Slapfish - I will be giving away two cards for FREE Chowder Fries and Ultimate Fish Taco. All you have to do to enter is comment below here or on my facebook page - Who would you take to try these awesome eats?! Ill pick a winner randomly on Friday!

Savor Santa Ana was a HIT!

Savor Santa Ana was just perfect!

Huge shout out and thank you to my girl +Melodi Steinberg for the invite to the hot foodie event in downtown Santa Ana. It was awesome and the tastes were so flavorful I wish we could have had 3 more hours of fun and eats.

We started off at the VIP table and got our goodies. Off to the bar to redeem our drinks and we took our shots with a smile. Yes we started off with a bang. When you only have a few hours of mom time aka gno aka the savor Santa Ana event .... you make the MOST of it!

We hopped onto the trolley, yes I did see it as the air bus, when it clearly said ART BUS. I blame the tequila shot that's all... and made our way to some smashing eateries.

Everything was just amazing but some of my favs were:
*KTCHN DTSA where we had the most tasty Chilaquiles
* the Little Sparrow where we had a cocktail that was so tasty and creative - yes please may I have another!
* Taquerias Guadalajara and that was some amazing Ceviche
Everything was very fresh and all the tastes I had, I would most definitely come back for!

Cant wait until the next Savor Santa Ana - where the art meets the food masters and your tummy if full of great eats!

Kidz Bop 29 Makes Summer ROCK

Summer is Rockin' in our house this summer with KidzBop29!

Summer 2015 - Newest Kidz Bop CD
PC KidzBop
It is no secret that we love KidzBop. This summer was super cool with lot's of random fun outings and since we had a lot of time in the car we needed some tunes to rock out to.

Always a hit for sure but here are 5 reasons why we just couldn't put KidzBOp29 Down!
* Sugar
* Whole family loves to sing along
* Today's hits with the all age friendly twist
* Works well with Disney and we love with Disney too
* Loved the creative cover and that the design matches the pop happy that the songs make you feel (directly from my dd mouth there)

I love it because it is perfect for everyone and we love to listen together. Another way for us to bong and be silly in the car and at home.

Keep an eye out for our review of the Kidz Bop Christmas CD! We just started to get the Holiday spirit of gift ideas since it was just someones 8th birthday.... the list just continued to the Holidays...

Creating A Fun Birthday Countdown Calendar!

Creating a fun Birthday Countdown Calendar!

Today we got to #craftitup and make a countdown to fun birthday calendar for my bella!

Step 1. Print the blank calendar sheets and write what surprises you have planned like the big day and events before and after. Cover them up with tiny squares you can cut out of any fun paper.

Step 2. Get #creative with it and glue or tape the calendar sheets to card stock or fun paper. We used glitter card stock from @michaelsstores and it was on clearance for $.39 ...score

Step 3. Decorate it all you want and personalize even more!! We added clearance stickers all over it!

Have a fun time doing this if you try it. Also side note...send your kiddo to the other room while you write down what the surprises are and cover them up. Then pocked the family drafting fun!

Beat the Heat at Buccaneer Cove GIVEAWAY
BOOM 2015 04 15 WEBSITE Masthead BuccaneerCove A
We had so much fun during our first, but not last, visit to Buccaneer Cove at Boomers Irvine!
The water park opens at 11 daily and is open until 6pm Monday to Friday and 7pm on Weekends.
Buccaneer Cove from my Seat in the Cabana - perfect view all around.
We got there about noon and stayed until about 5pm and did not even realize how fast the time went. Time sure went fast. I had three kiddos with me. My two and a friend we were watching. All three kids had a blast.
The girls are both almost 8 and they had so much fun on the slides, water play and just pretending to be pirates. It was so cool to see different ages playing all together in one enclosed water fun area.
My boy who is 3 had so much fun once he went down the small slide once, it was all over, he was stuck and loving it.

There is a HUGE bucket that just pours down and splashes everyone from top to bottom and group up too. Its so cool. My kids were waiting for it while the lifeguards were totally timing it to avoid the shock of all that water hitting you out of no where - that's perfect for the kids.. and some of us too.

The kids ran around like crazy and played with everything. They had fun meeting new friends and I had a blast watching these memories in the making.
Sweet Emi plays so well with Mikey!
After the play we sat for a bit and just calmed down with some pizza and took a rest in the cabana. You can order anything they have inside directly out to you and you can rent the cabanas for an all day price of $75. Such a good deal to have or share with another family for the day so that you can come relax and have for sure shade...it is also nice that the cabana comes with waters and also cabana service for an hour.

I may be partial to this awesome day since it was the firs time my son, who has some sensory issues, asked for a piece of pepperoni pizza and ATE IT! Oh I will be back just to get him to eat.... honestly!
He wore himself to TRY NEW FOODS... WIN WIN WIN!
This Kid is on self water fun time out!

The girls said their top 5 things to do at Buccaneer Cover were:
* The huge Orange water Slide - it went so fast and was so fun
* Being able to play and meet new friends for hours staying cool in the water
* having pizza ready when they were so tired form playing all day
* racing down the small slides with friends
* getting splashed by the crazy water out of the big bucket that got you out of no where

I would say they are ready for more... soon...very soon....

We can not wait to get back for more water fun at Buccaneer Cove - my Husband missed the whole day and hopes to return with us so that he too can have some water fun with our kids this summer. It really is a great spot to take your whole family for the day!

We love that it's perfect for the whole family so we are lucky enough to be given 4 tickets to giveaway!
