First Time Visit to Knott's Scary Farm with My Tween! Did She Cry? Maybe.... #scaryfarm #knottsscaryfarm

Knott's Scary Farm is Back for Select Nights Through November 2nd!

Thanks to Knott's Berry Farm, last week I decided to give in to my tween and take her with some of her besties to Knott's Scary Farm....

Let me back up and give you some history.

When I was 12.5, in 7th grade I was taken to Knott's Scary Farm after a few years of begging. Keep in mind this was 1992 and things were a bit more timid back then.

My daughter found out a few years ago, watched me cover the amazing event and has been asking to attend since.

I told her when she hits the age I was allowed to go and she feels ready after watching my videos... I'll take her.

That was last week.

So I have to admit that I was so excited to see these girls scream and get a dose of reality check but they held their own.

Their top 3 favorites...

1. The Carnevil Clowns. They must have walked that scare zone about 8 times and loved every moment of it. I really feel like it was a fun side to scary.

My Top 5 Reasons Dark Harbor at The Queen Mary Should Be On Your Haunts List #darkhabor

Queen Mary Brings Screams, Frights, Food, Side Shows and So Much More with Dark Harbor

Have you been to Dark Harbor? Their goal is to scare the SHIP out of you... they do an amazingly frightful job of it too.

One of my most favorite events each Halloween Haunt season is Dark Harbor. There is something about being on the ship that is creepy in itself and so intriguing.

I wanted to give you a run down on my favs, must see, tips and more...

1. There is fog everywhere. From the moment you walk in and all throughout the mazes. Lots of it.

2. Hundreds of monsters and ghouls waiting for you each night after an opening ceremony behind gates. They are everywhere, hinding, lurking and creeping in the shadows.

3. The mazes are awesome. Each one is so different and scary in it's own way. From on board the ship to a transformation in a dome tent, the setting is definitely set for horrors of all kinds to find you.

4. Sliders!! Not the food but the crazy creeps the come sliding towards you on their hands knees and bodies with sparks flying. Yes. Those Sliders are amazing. They have their own show, not to miss, but also linger around just to freak you out too.

TOP SLIDERS Perform a Special Collaboration at Queen Mary Dark Harbor Plus Recap Of Event

Queen Mary's Dark Harbor has the best Sliders Coming at YOU!

I had such a blast at Dark Harbor this year. The intense feeling of the Mystery of the Ship itself creates that extra spooky feeling for me.

I love the use of the ship for some of the haunted mazes. There is something about walking through feeling the historical vibes as you take each step up, down and around the ship itself.

One of my favs.... "Is she looking at me?"

The Photo Opps are hands down awesome! Creepy enough yet... hehe

The dark path ways, living quarters, stories of the pool and other ghostly tales create the most amazing atmosphere for a perfect Dark Harbor!

There are monsters and spooky ones everywhere and what I liked is that the Sliders don't just slide at you but totally give a performance.

It was fun to watch them attempt limbo Sliding down the walkway past us still creeping us out.

I can not wait for next year to see what Scary Mary, the Captain and all their ghostly crew have conjured up to make me scream.

Check out this creepy video of Scary Mary I got while on the Queen Mary Ship! Yikes... that's real enough for me!

I have to add that there are sweet snacks and food to take a break with. Refuel so you can ditch the scary monsters and make it thought a maze with energy haa!

The Screaming Festive fun does not stop there... Something special and unique is headed to give Dark Harbor even more clout!

Have you heard?
