Knott's #SpookyFarm is Back & Expands for Even More Entertainment! #KnottsBerryFarm

Knott’s Spooky Farm Returns with Even More Halloween Fun for Everyone, Expanding Thursdays through Sundays Starting September 29!

Enjoy the spooktacular Halloween season at Knott's Spooky Farm, a newly expanded family-friendly Halloween celebration.

Families can join in on the ghoulish fun as the park transforms with themed décor and wicked fun around every corner.

The fall Season of Fun offers Halloween-themed activities that celebrate the season, including trick-or-treating, a line-up of original shows and pumpkin decorating. Knott's Spooky Farm will be taking place Thursdays through Sundays this year, starting September 29 through October 31.

Kids can participate in a memorable trick-or-treating experience along Ghost Town's Main Street, Schoolhouse Road and Gold Mine Trail. During trick-or-treating, kids will interact with an array of spooky but friendly shopkeepers as little ones have the opportunity to show off their festive Halloween costumes.

Guests can also visit the Livery Stable to get close and personal with the Creepy Critters of Calico. Spiders, bugs and more await at our Creepy Critters Corral. Whimsical jack-o-lanterns surround Calico Park as it changes into an enchanting Pumpkin Patch location for families to enjoy the season's atmosphere with photo ops. Guests can get in the spirit by decorating their very own themed cookie or pumpkin right in the heart of Ghost Town. Miniature pumpkins or Halloween cookies will be available for a nominal fee. Little ghouls are also encouraged to strut their stuff and show off their Halloween Costumes in the Calico Carnival Costume Cavalcade hosted by the Calico Mayor and Cameo Kate at the Calico Mine Stage.

Gals and ghouls are in for a treat as the Bob Baker Marionette Theatre Show is back with their Halloween-themed show at Birdcage Theatre. These peculiar puppeteers will amaze all with a spooky puppet show that will have little ones and adults entertained all day.

Venture over to Camp Snoopy and hop aboard the Grand Sierra Railroad, where you can join Linus in the Pumpkin Patch as he and Sally await the arrival of The Great Pumpkin. Halloween isn't complete without this timeless tale from the Peanuts Gang. Additionally, The Camp Snoopy Theater is hosting the Great Pumpkin Palooza show, where you'll get more than a rock as you join Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang for a high-energy music tribute to the best holiday ever, Halloween!

The residents of The Timber Mountain Log Ride will celebrate the Halloween Hootenanny, which adds a family-friendly seasonal twist to a park favorite. Every year the citizens of Timber Mountain invite the mysterious creatures that live out in the woods and caverns of the area to join them as they celebrate the season at the Halloween Hootenanny. The ride's interior features surprise after surprise as guests venture past the Calico Coffin Creeper Band, the town's Green Witch and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns – all set around an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. The fun continues for little ones at the Calico Mine Ride as it undergoes a fantastical transformation into a candy wonderland! Grab a seat to explore the caves and caverns for candy confections but keep an eye out for the elusive Pink Fairy.

Head down to Gold Mine Trail, where guests can not only trick-or-treat, but also experience carnival games and ghoulish treats specially curated for this spooky season.

Knott's Spooky Farm runs daytime Thursdays through Sundays, September 29 – October 31, and is included with regular park admission.

Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures New Series on Disney Channel for Disney Junior and on DisneyNow #MickeyMouseAdventures

Hot Dog! There is a New Mixed Up Adventure Headed Your Way With Mickey & Friends

Thank you Disney Channel for having us out to preview Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures. All opinions are my own.

We had an amazing morning previewing the new Disney Channel show... Mickey's Mixed Up Adventures!

We started out the morning with a preview of the new show in the screening theater.

Mikey thought it was so very cool. He was right.

After the screening we were treated to a pixie dust filled lunch spread, perfect for the kids and adults.

The amazing Disney team had coloring pages set out, activities to play and something to eat.. I mean how kid friendly is all of that?! Thank you!

The new show Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures is wonderful... an updated version of what my 12 year old used to watch when she was my son's age.

We loved it & had a hot dog adventure.... the best part is that Mickey turns a mix up of what seems to be a mess into something magical with a positive twist!

My son's favorite things about it all....

* Mickey is still solving problems & making friends smile.
* The mixed up mess made for a fun way to make it all right.
* It was very funny, so, so funny.
* The Hot Dog dance and song is back & better than ever.

Sing along with us... Exclusive link!!

My Crayola Glitter Dots Experience... I Have Got to Take the Kids! #CrayolaGlitterDots

We Love Crayola!

Crayola is a brand that we've used and have loved for over 30 years.

Three generations of using Crayola products, I guess you can say we are big fans.

The Crayola company is always coming up with new and entertaining ways to stay creative.

Thanks to JMP Creative for the invite out to experience some of what goes on behind the scenes on the production side of commercials and innovative products. All opinions are my own.

I was so excited to be part of a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating Crayola Glitter Dots at JMP Creative’s The Magic Workshop, an amazing wonderland for toy inventing, I can not wait to take my kids back!

I feel like this would be a great opportunity for my son who is on the Autism spectrum... sensory heaven!

A lot of effort, feedback, R & D and more goes into the development of everything on site that is produced.

From the fun ways to play and entertain our kids, well ourselves too, to the amazing effects to bring a commercial to life JMP Creative is on the cusp of it all making it happen.

I had a blast. The Crayola Glitter Dots Drop commercial reenactment was seriously the best. You can get a clip of it....

First Time Visit to Knott's Scary Farm with My Tween! Did She Cry? Maybe.... #scaryfarm #knottsscaryfarm

Knott's Scary Farm is Back for Select Nights Through November 2nd!

Thanks to Knott's Berry Farm, last week I decided to give in to my tween and take her with some of her besties to Knott's Scary Farm....

Let me back up and give you some history.

When I was 12.5, in 7th grade I was taken to Knott's Scary Farm after a few years of begging. Keep in mind this was 1992 and things were a bit more timid back then.

My daughter found out a few years ago, watched me cover the amazing event and has been asking to attend since.

I told her when she hits the age I was allowed to go and she feels ready after watching my videos... I'll take her.

That was last week.

So I have to admit that I was so excited to see these girls scream and get a dose of reality check but they held their own.

Their top 3 favorites...

1. The Carnevil Clowns. They must have walked that scare zone about 8 times and loved every moment of it. I really feel like it was a fun side to scary.

My Top 5 Reasons Dark Harbor at The Queen Mary Should Be On Your Haunts List #darkhabor

Queen Mary Brings Screams, Frights, Food, Side Shows and So Much More with Dark Harbor

Have you been to Dark Harbor? Their goal is to scare the SHIP out of you... they do an amazingly frightful job of it too.

One of my most favorite events each Halloween Haunt season is Dark Harbor. There is something about being on the ship that is creepy in itself and so intriguing.

I wanted to give you a run down on my favs, must see, tips and more...

1. There is fog everywhere. From the moment you walk in and all throughout the mazes. Lots of it.

2. Hundreds of monsters and ghouls waiting for you each night after an opening ceremony behind gates. They are everywhere, hinding, lurking and creeping in the shadows.

3. The mazes are awesome. Each one is so different and scary in it's own way. From on board the ship to a transformation in a dome tent, the setting is definitely set for horrors of all kinds to find you.

4. Sliders!! Not the food but the crazy creeps the come sliding towards you on their hands knees and bodies with sparks flying. Yes. Those Sliders are amazing. They have their own show, not to miss, but also linger around just to freak you out too.

Knott's Scary Farm Deets Plus New Mazes & More ... for Those Brave Enough to Go! #ScaryFarm

Are You Ready to Scream at Knott's Scary Farm!

We have all the deets on new mazes, rides, shows, BooFets fests and more.

This year my daughter is in 7th grade, do you know what that means, I do.

She reminded me that I told her years ago and for many years to follow that she could go to Knott's Scary Farm when she gets into 7th grade like I did back in the day of 1992.

So here we are many, many years later since my first visit to Scary Farm and I know the intensity has grown with the scary being amplified since 1992 but I'm planning to surprise her with tickets!

Have you taken your tween? How did it go? Did they scream for more or just scream?

My girl is brave, loves to be scared, watches scary movies and loves all of that. I cringe and scream and she looks to see what's next. She is going to love it.

I can not wait to come back and share how it went and what we did... I mean aside from my laugh crying cause that's what I do when I get freaked out and Scary Farm does a great job of that!

Since there is so much to do, see, run from and scream at we wanted to break it all down for you.

Plan ahead and make the most of theirs Fall fun!

Everything Knott's Scary Farm.. ready.. go..

Knott’s Scary Farm is the most haunting Halloween experience in Southern California, delivering unimaginable scares and innovative thrills since 1973 and continues to make the most twisted delusions come to life.

This season new horrors are in store with the frightening new maze Wax Works, where a mysterious figure has been seen tinkering at night and is ready to show off his beautiful yet terrifyingly life-like masterpieces of hot molten wax and bloody flesh.

A hilariously outrageous new show will be brought to life as world-class comedian puppeteers from The Jim Henson Company encourage guests to participate in the improvised comedy antics in Puppet Up! – Uncensored, which is intended for mature audiences.

Universal Studios Hollywood for the Birthday Win - Plus a Glimpse Inside Jurassic World!

A few weeks ago we celebrated my daughters birthday at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Now that the kids are in love with Universal Studios it makes the visit so fun as a family.

Thank you to Universal Studios Hollywood for the birthday tickets and visit, we had a blast. All opinions are my own.

We like to grab a studio map when we arrive. This helps us navigate the rides, attractions, shows, meet and greets & more.

Of course all four of us wanted to rush over to Jurassic World the Ride and experience the thrill of the movies coming to life.

My tween was having so much fun interacting with the baby Raptor and watching Blue snap over at the encounter area of the lower lot.

I am not even kidding when I say that we all felt like the reality of Dinos possibly walking among us was really happening... so life like!!!

Time to ride....

First time riding for us all and we loved it. I don't want to give much away but there is an element of surprise around each turn and view.

My kids did not know from what side or angle there would be a surprise coming at them or something to startle them.

I myself was caught off guard a few times and even let out a scream.

We really liked that the end of the ride was a bit splash... you can see my video on youtube here.

It was really exciting and we felt like Universal Studios did an awesome job of making us feel like we were there and it was real.
