Storymakery at the Irvine Spectrum Brings Creativity to Life with a Book!

 

Have you been to Storymakery in Irvine at the Irvine Spectrum?!

 

 



 

A few months ago my daughter's girl scout troop did a scavenger hunt where they passed by Storymakery.

 

Ever since my daughter has been asking to check it out! She has been telling me she has the perfect story to write but it would probably have to be a series of books!

 

Thanks to Storymakery for having us out to experience the creative fun.

 

Let me break down the visit, options and how it all works....

 

Storymakery can host you one at a time, a group or a large party.

 

The creator starts by picking their option of a gift to give or a story to keep.



 

The gift option allows you to create a short story or thank you for a birthday, coach, teacher, patent, sibling, grandparent or whoever!! This creative adventure takes about 25 mins and is a soft back book ready in minutes.

 

The personal story option takes the writer through a super fun simplified story writing process.



Filled with a plot, highlights, characters and an ending to your crafty desires, this option gives a bit more depth to the input given to mastermind your words into your book.

Ready in a day this option comes hard back.

 

What I loved about  both selections... the ability to customize each and change the dedication so that if you wanted to order copies for others it's just that simple to do so.

 



 

As you can see my daughter chose the personalization story option for her visit. She sat with a special helper to create, write, develop, characterize and send to print her special story.

 

I was advised that this was "based on a true story" and all about soccer. Of course it was... Oh and that there will have to be a series since the story isn't just over yet... the suspense is already killing me smalls! Haha!

 

We picked up her creation and her masterpiece is just awesome!

 



 

Look at her face... look at her book!! She wrote that! She sat and thought about it, replayed it in her mind and put it on paper!!


 

 

Books are priceless but this is beyond a book, it's a memory in stone, well wood!

 

My girl wrote all about her Galaxy Soccer team, the plays her teammates did and all against a harsh team... 

 

Want to know more about her soccer book.. maybe we will just have to go back and write book 2 of the series!

 

Meanwhile I have to head back to let my son experience Storymakery.  As a kid on the spectrum with strengths in reading and imagination play... I think he's going to have a blast making up his own version of what goes on in his head when he pretend plays!
