Armstrong Garden Centers to Host Community Gardening Classes

Special seasonal educational workshops will be held in February and March 2017.


Armstrong Garden Centers invites California gardeners of all skill levels to its upcoming community classes!

Each workshop will encourage attendees to nurture their green thumbs with a wide range of topics to get ready for the new year. Classes will be held at all store locations, except the Irvine outlet. 

No registration required for these classes.

Armstrong Garden Centers scheduled workshops for February 2017:

Saturday, February 4 at 9:00 a.m. – Growing Your Own Berries – Blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and boysenberries can all be grown in California gardens. Armstrong’s experts will show attendees how best to do so. Just imagine walking outside and picking fruit from your garden to enjoy anytime.

Saturday, February 11 at 9:00 a.m. – Orchids – Orchids add beauty and elegance to any home. Learn how easy taking care of orchids can be from Armstrong’s gardening team.

Saturday, February 18 at 9:00 a.m. – Gardening for Beginners – The mission of Armstrong Garden Centers is to take the guesswork out of gardening. Class participants will learn the basics and gain the confidence to grow anything.
Armstrong Garden Centers scheduled workshops for March 2017:

Saturday, March 11 at 9:00 a.m. – Grow Your Own Strawberries – Plant strawberries now for flavorful summer harvests. Armstrong has its largest selection in stock now – chosen just for your neighborhood. Strawberries are so easy to grow, even in small spaces. Armstrong’s experts will show everyone how.

Saturday, March 18 at 9:00 a.m. – Growing Perfect Tomatoes – It is tomato planting time. Armstrong has the largest selection of all kinds, grown just for each area. Tomatoes are easy and great for beginning gardeners. Participants will learn everything necessary to grow delicious and juicy tomatoes.

Saturday, March 25 at 9:00 a.m. – Grow Your Own Hot Peppers – Kick up your veggie garden a notch with hot peppers. Choose from mild to nuclear. Armstrong’s experts will show class attendees the best varieties to use in California gardens.

Each class is instructed by a nursery professional who will offer timely gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations. Classes are open to gardeners of all skill levels.
