Grand Legacy At The Park - Perfect Location for A Lot of Local Fun in SoCal

Wow We Rocked 2016 Locally Visiting so Many Hot Spots for Family/Date Night Fun!

This last year we spent a lot of time spending a lot of time together hehe. It was an honor to have the privileged to cover so many fantastic events this last year.

I really hope you enjoyed all of our live coverage, posts, recaps, social shares and info through out the year.

We are eager to kick off 2017 with more fun to share and places to go all around OC and beyond.

One of our most favorite places to stay is the Grand Legacy at the Park. I have covered the hotel itself many times. We have taken walks to and from the main gates of Disneyland Parks and shared all the family fun that can be had at the hotel itself all year round.

But I also wanted to share a perspective from the eyes and mind of a planner that looks at practicality as well as the fun to be had!

With that said, this past year, I took the opportunity to really plan a stay around the Grand Legacy at the Park and more than once, not just a staycation...

Our run of family fun.

We had so much fun staying in the new tower of rooms and visiting the rooftop lounge The Fifth OC!

Seeing fireworks while the kids ate ice cream and we had a drink.

It was the perfect central location for the events we had planned that weekend too.

Winterfest at the OC Fairgrounds was on our event list so we spent the morning at Disneyland and since we are AP holders we were able to get early check in to our room to get ready for the night. We took a few moments to rest and left.

PC Lets Play OC

With in 25mins we were at the fairgrounds on a Friday night with traffic. Not bad at all! Note that the beach is just 5 minutes further down from the fairgrounds.

The following morning we were scheduled to experience Winter Wonderfest at Discovery Cube OC!

Perfect since +DiscoveryCubeOC . is only 12 minutes from the hotel! We ate a quick bite from the hotel's free breakfast and got over to the Wonderfest fun.

Here is where the fun begins, I mean the Date night fun starts....

After our family fun we decided to drop the kids off at my dads for the evening. It was my husbands Holiday party and we figured why not make the most of our double room suite too!

We had plenty of space to get ready, do my hair hehe and relax before we took a +Lyft over to the Disneyland Hotel for $7 but if I was not in heels I would have enjoyed the walk over!

I know right.. so close and such a perfect spot to stay when you need to literally be in the middle of everything in Orange County for 3 days!

So as if that was not the most perfect weekend already, there is more... After the Holiday party we had a few drinks up on the roof top, The Fifth, & then of course, we got a bit hungry.

Did you know that Jim Boys Tacos is located right below the new tower of the hotel and they deliver to the front desk! Score! We ordered and had a midnight snack and called it a super eventful evening!

Let me point out that there are so many of our favorites that are close to the Grand Legacy at the Park. We have also thought about a family fun weekend touring more of our favorites like...

* Knotts 15 mins
* Medieval Times 15 mins
* Pirates Adventure 15 mins
* Bowers Museum 12 mins
* Honda Center 10 mins
* Angels Stadium 10 mins

and so much more.... I think this means that we will have to look into this asap and add more to the list of easy to get to fun from the Grand Legacy at the Park!

One of our New Years Hopes is to TRAVEL More.. what are some of yours?

Catch us inside the DLR for Lunar New Year fun and of course a preview of the Valentine's Day fun too!
