Urban Ocean Festival Returns to the Aquarium of the Pacific

AQUARIUM TO CELEBRATE SOCAL’S UNIQUE COAST AT URBAN OCEAN FESTIVAL

We love the Aquarium of the Pacific!

Visiting about 4 or 5 times a year never gets boring or old. There are always things to do and it is very Autism friendly.

Both of my kiddos love to start at different areas each time we visit but when there is a special event going on we know we will not only see something new but learn something cool as well!

What's coming up? Here are the deets on the Urban Ocean Festival...

The Aquarium of the Pacific hosts it's 8th Annual Urban Ocean Festival on April 29 and 30, featuring the Trashin’ Fashion show, boat cruises, art, games, mural painting, poetry, live music, sustainable seafood tastings by Premier, and other activities inspired by the bustling ocean.

The Pacific waters off Southern California host a variety of industrial and recreational activities and also provide habitat for a diverse array of animals. Visitors to this festival can learn more about and better appreciate the urban ocean.

During the festival, the Aquarium will show its film about the Urban Ocean and about aquaculture (fish/shellfish farming) daily in its Ocean Science Center.

There will be special boat programs during the festival and the summer at an additional cost.

The Urban Ocean: World Port and Sea Life Cruise occurs monthly June through September (at 4:00 p.m. on June 17, July 15, August 19, and September 16) aboard Harbor Breeze Cruises.

The Urban Ocean Festival is included with admission—$29.95 adult (12+), $26.95 senior (62+), $16.95 child (3-11), and free for children under age three and Aquarium members.

The combo prices for Aquarium admission and Urban Ocean Cruises aboard Harbor Breeze Cruises are: $39.95 adult (12+) and $15 child. For info: (562) 590-3100 or www.aquariumofpacific.org.
