The Queen Mary’s Monthly Concert Series Returns September 21 with Local Band Hangout Going Reggae!

For those of you looking for fun, random date night ideas, girls night out, guys night out or just some music... it's all returning to The Observation Bar & Art Deco Lounge - The Queen Mary.

Hot off the press.... all the deets to the Monthly Concert Series!

"The Queen Mary’s popular, monthly local music showcase, Local Band Hangout, returns to the Observation Bar & Art Deco Lounge on Thursday, September 21 at 7 p.m. with special performances by Niu Roots, WISE, and RFK (Remedy for Kill). Board the legendary ship for another authentic Thursday night filled with appetizing food, enticing drinks, and some of the best reggae music Southern California has to offer.

Long Beach natives, Niu Roots, will headline the September concert series showcasing their fresh acoustics and individual sound. The local reggae band’s music would be described as a perfect mixture of feel-good Reggae, and made up of three Samonas, a Tonga, and a Native-Hawaiian.

Considered as a “One-Man-Music-Machine,” Fijian-born, WISE has quickly developed solid fan base with the independent music scene. His signature “mash-up” mega-song rolls from one hit to the next, pairing together unlikely songs to create a perfect unison of music. WISE’s passionate lyrics, touch on life experiences, relationships, faith and hope.

Hailing from SoCal, RFK (Remedy for Kill) offers a laid back, heavy metallic, sweet melodic reggae sound. Starting in 2011, the band mixed reggae, rock and hip hop for its own unique sound. RFK has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with well-known reggae bands including The Dirty Heads and Pato Bantan.
