Everything You Need To Know About GoRving! #GoRving #Camping

Why RV?! #GoRVing Is Perfect For Family Travel!

What do you know about RVing!? Right... me too.. well that is up until we spent an amazing 4 days at the Yosemite Lakes RV Resort at Thousand Trails Base Camp with GoRving!

Thanks to an amazing sponsored trip we were able to experience so many adventures outdoors!

Full recap of our Yosemite Lakes RV Resort stay with GoRving here.

For this recap I wanted for really give you all an insight on the GoRving options I didn't know there was...

Let's dive in to RV Types:

Trailers
You can pull some trailers with the family car and store it in your garage. Or, try one a little bit bigger that has a full kitchen and bath. Trailers start $6,000.

Motorhomes
Motorhomes are great for families that want to feel like they’re at home, even when riding down the road. Passengers often enjoy playing games at the dinette table, watching TV, or relaxing on the couch. Motorhomes have lots of storage space and come in all sizes and price ranges. Starts at $60,000 and can be financed up to 15 years OR rent one starting around $150 a day.

Park Model RV (this is what we stayed in... see recap and video here)
A great way to try camping is to stay in a park model RV, sometimes called Park Model Cabins. These are fully-loaded cabins built on an RV chassis and located in many campgrounds in the U.S. Most have A/C, heat, a full kitchen & bathroom, bedroom, grill, fire pit, porch and more – super comfortable and you still have access to all the campground activities. It’s also a great way for anyone with a disability to go camping. See our tour of this option here.

Perfect Getaway to Idyllybrook Gazebo Under 2 Hours From Orange County

Idyllbrook Gazebo Steps to Strawberry Creek & Indoor Outdoor Relaxation!

In love with this cabin.. yes I wrote indoor outdoor!

Experience Idyllwild has some amazing hidden gems to vacation in.

Idyllbrook Gazebo Cabin offers a lovely two in one. What do I mean by that?!

You can experience the wonders of vacationing in a home away from home cabin or you can walk steps down to the gazebo creek side and listen to the brook stream down from the outdoor indoor gazebo.

Experience Idyllwild does such an amazing job with each of their properties offering a unique individual feel to each cabin. Look at this kitchen!

My family was in awe over how peaceful and safe we felt outdoors in nature with just all sorts of wildlife around us.

Let's back up a bit...

The Great Park in Irvine Phase 1 Complete - Grand Opening August 5th with Free Concert #GreatParkSportsPark

It's a Big Weekend For The Great Park in Irvine!

Living in the Irvine area for over 30 years, I have watched the growth of our local cities, parks and communities.

It is wonderful to see that the massive space of land, once knows as the El Toro Marine Base, is being used for so many outdoor and family friendly activities!

We have already been to a few awesome soccer matches played by the Orange County Soccer Club and can not wait to see the team in action in their new home!

Come out to the Great Park (my favorite of the OC Parks) this Saturday and celebrate with everyone!

One With Nature Just Being a Silly Kid Before School Starts

Wild and Free Climbing Trees - Just the Way I Played When I was a Kid!

After a few weeks of running around and having a lot of summer fun, I decided it was time to get back to the basics, the basics of sitting in the grass, climbing trees, looking at clouds and just relaxing in the fresh air.

Took the kids with a light snack picnic style and parked it by the green grass and some huge trees. These trees were just swooping down and had branches that looked like thy were asking to be sat on!

You can tell these trees have been here forever, there are love notes, break up notes and all sorts of special secrets written on the old branches.

We hugged the trees, looked at the clouds and totally did nothing but enjoy just that.

When is the last time that you took the kids out to just do what you used to do, no electronics, no games, no portable anything.. just the outdoors and climbing, falling, picking up sticks, rocks and imagining everything else about it....

I can not wait for it to cool down a bit so we can do this again and for a bit longer!

Happy almost end of summer everyone.... one more outdoor play before the school year starts!

As soon as I say Back to School Shopping they are going to freak out!
