Always a HOWLING good time at Great Wolf Lodge in SoCal!
 
Before we get into the deets on the Spring Break fun, I wanted to share some tips from our visit, hope they help in your family fun planning.
 
Great Wolf Lodge Family Fun Tips:

* We stayed one night and two days - Honestly I would have loved to stay 2 nights and 3 days. There is so much offered as part of your stay in addition to the water park play, that you really need just that extra time to soak it all in, I mean who wants to miss the evening story time or the morning yoga? So much more too! I would have loved to take it a bit slower to really do all we could at no extra cost. There is always something going on or being celebrated to take part in too!
 
* Cabana Rental - I know this sounds silly since you may have a room on site but some just need that extra quiet or comfort zone for quick breaks. For Cabana in the action of it all I would suggest one in the main area or toddler area so that small and big can be seen and play. For a quieter moment for sensory breaks (we need those at times with my sons ASD) the outdoor cabanas are perfect and less of a crowd too. Not to mention they are cozy and private too.
 
* Autism Friendly - There are lifeguards all over and attentive... thank goodness since I am on top of it but my boy is all over the place at times. He just enjoys life and wants to run wild with everyone and everything. He actually needed First Aide and they took the best care of his scrape and he was ready to play again a few hours later after a snack. At 5yo he LOVED everything about Great Wolf Lodge. He was able to take it at his own pace with smaller water rides as well as keep the life vest tat is provided if needed on hand all day. Mikey really enjoyed the outdoor pool ply area as well as the family tubing. We loved that too. It's fun to have your kids watch you scream laugh... yes that's what I do! 
 
* Staff - The Team at GWL is amazingly friendly and very customer service savvy! Everyone wants to see you having fun safely. I loved how sweet everyone was to the kids all over the water park with patience and empathy to the indoor arcade friendliness. Great training on your staff GWL. SO great that my brother in law has an interview to Lifeguard there... good luck Richie!
 
* Girl Time - This is where that third day would have been great. First two days do all there is for family fun and even relax and take it slow. But... I would like to try the Salon on our last day on our way out so that my daughter and I can really feel refreshed and bond over nails for a bit. How cute and fun!
 
There really is so much to do and a lot of family entertainment to be had at Great Wolf Lodge. My husband agreed we needed more time, he didn't want to leave either!! Win Win! Local Staycation Perfection for us.

Great Wolf Lodge Partners with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation This Spring to Raise Funds to Fight Pediatric Cancer Fundraising

Spring is in the air at Great Wolf Lodge as the annual Spring-a-Palooza celebration returns March 9- April 15.

Have you been to Great Wolf Lodge? The Wolf Pack over there is always working hard to keep seasonal festivities fresh and super fun for everyone.

Last year we took a tour of the event and loved that everyone has the opportunity to get involved in Spring-A-Palooza! Young little ones will love the activities while older kids will love exploring the grounds with attractions like Magi Quest.

From spring picnics and bubble dance parties in the Grand Lobby to character-inspired flower gardens and more, Spring-a-Palooza is the perfect way for families to celebrate the changing of the season.

 

A highlight this year, for the first time Great Wolf Lodge is partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation at all 14 U.S. Great Wolf Lodge locations to generate funds and raise awareness to help end childhood cancer.

Great Wolf Lodge celebrates the most festive time of year with its annual Snowland celebration taking place Nov. 29, 2019 through Jan. 5, 2020. 

Families will soak up the holiday spirit with daily snow showers in the Grand Lobby, visits from Santa and a variety of festive seasonal activities. 

During this seasonal celebration families can enjoy an escape from the chilly winter weather at the resort’s expansive 84-degree indoor water park while also experiencing the most magical holiday gift of all - time together as a family.

Beyond spreading holiday cheer during Snowland, Great Wolf Lodge is looking to help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses by partnering with Make-A-Wish® on a special holiday-themed wolf ear promotion.

Starting Nov. 24, Great Wolf Lodge will sell festive Santa Hat Wolf Ears for $8.99 at the front desk and Buckhorn retail outlet, with $2 from each sale being donated to Make-A-Wish. 

The campaign runs until Jan. 5, 2020 or until supplies run out – the number of Santa Hat Wolf Ears available for purchase is limited to 15,000 ears across all U.S. resorts.

Howling Cool News from Great Wolf Lodge!

We love Great Wolf Lodge and hope to visit this summer at some point. There is plenty to do within the water park plus many things to do out of water too. With resort style activities for all ages and on site tood, arcade, entertainment and more it's always a wolftastic time!

Some news hot off the press... or right out of the woods...

So excited to share that Great Wolf Lodge is assembling an all-star line-up of celebrity parents, which will be known as Pack of Parents, to assist in developing new guest amenities and experiences to further strengthen the family fun and togetherness at it's resorts across the nation.  

This Pack of Parents program will bring together noted experts in disciplines such as design, fashion, entertainment, wellbeing and culinary with the first round of participants being: Nate Berkus (DESIGN), Whitney Port (FASHION), and Stephen "tWitch" Boss and Allison Holker (ENTERTAINMENT).

Some deets on the Pack Parents...

• Nate Berkus: HGTV star and celebrated interior designer Nate Berkus is helping Great Wolf Lodge to better define its outdoor living offerings. The company is developing a new multi-family villa concept for its Pocono Mountains resort, with Nate designing the villa’s outdoor living space.

• Whitney Port: As Great Wolf Lodge prepares to celebrate its 25th birthday, celebrity fashion designer Whitney Port is partnering with the indoor water park resort to design a limited edition wolf ear headband to mark the special occasion. The wolf ear headbands will feature some birthday glitz and glam, with proceeds donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

• Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holker: Nothing screams out summer like spending time by the pool, and Great Wolf Lodge is partnering with the beloved husband and wife dancing duo Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holker to create a new pool party experience this summer. This special new pool party will be a key piece of the resort’s 25th birthday festivities, and will debut as part of the brand’s annual Summer CampIn celebration. Currently serving as resident DJ of the Ellen show, tWitch, will curate the playlist for the party, and Boss and Holker will collaborate on some high-energy dances and fun poolside activities families are sure to love.

Summer is officially over, not really, just kids going back to school.

 

The fun doesn't have to end with school. We love to stay at Great Wolf Lodge random times year-round.

 



 

There are always wolftastic things to do between festivities in the lobby, attractions and of course the waterpark!

 

We've written about seasonal activities and things to do, the Paw Pass, Ten Pay Alley bowling, on site fun and the best way to enjoy the water park here  but.... I want to talk food this time.

 

Yeah Food! We love to travel and dine out while we travel and then some.

 

Something I love to do is stay at hotels and resorts that have breakfast buffet as an on site option.

 

 



 

Not only does Great Wolf Lodge have Dunkin' on site but they also have the best breakfast buffet around.
